Quick Step were totally disorganised there. Those 2 guys up and down the peloton twice in the final 3km.

Especially given Boonen etc were caught up in it in the crash.

Early start from rai and what do we get? No more coverage, just back to the chat fest that has been wonderfully absent until today. :(

i really hope Sky aren't that dumb to give the stage to the breakaway while they are out of GC

almost 11 minutes for the break, 90km to go

who is sky DS? by coincidence is the same one that was in the car at Formigal ? should have been gone a ong time ago

The break will need at least 8 mins at the foot of the final climb to stay away.

You know it's BMC with the jersey right?

And it's already down to 7,30 at 76km to go.

doesn't matter who has the jersey

Come on Rick, it's not like there's an established convention that the team with the leader's jersey have the responsibility of controlling the race.

    Oh.

Break back out at just over 8 and a quarter minutes.
That will be halved in short order on the run in to Terminillo.

    yea

it's hard to comprehend that the most interested team in the stage win is Sky so if the stage goes to the break is mainly their fault.

If they were that concerned about the stage win they would have made sure they had someone in the break.

Ruskie in the break low sides it, flies under the barriers and down the hill. Nasty crash.
