Later on, they show a clip where Peters & Steels are chatting with Tom in the group behind, before the Sagan/Terpstra argument.

Steels suggests they go after the break to put pressure. Tom can't hear, asks what the situation is, is told, and then goes 'fine we won't ride then".....

    Interesting....!

    Well a couple for me.

    1) clear who calls the shots, and it's not the guys in the car

    2) it's the wrong tactical choice. Not sure what QS gain from not chasing behind.

So you wonder why Tom would make that call. Does he not have the legs? Or is it something else?
  • Demol in hey I dont want to criticise Degenkolb but does so anyway shocker

    Belgians turning against Sagan?

How soon before we see Boonen behind the wheel?

Of course, Quick Step turned down the opportunity to sign Sagan before he joined Liquigas. That's got to rankle with both parties.

Those of a weak disposition, if you are about to tune into Eurosport make sure you have the volume set to 'mute'. CK & MB are, to coin a phrase, off on one.

I am no fan of theirs, but today they are particularly dreadful.

Kittel won this morning's half stage, and has just posted fastest ITT time, over 30s faster than second placed Koenig

Durbridge goes faster and I think sets the best ever time for this course.

I'm not a fan of Durbridge, but good that he got some reward for his efforts over the last week.

Gilbert, on the other hand, looks back to his pre-2012 best. It''ll never happen, but a straight-up battle on the Paterberg between him, Sagan and van Avermaet on Sunday would be very very nice.

If Boonen wins Paris Roubaix (or Flanders for that matter) then I'm assuming no one will be at work on Monday in Belgium.
  • I won't be at work on Monday, but that's a combination of school holidays and Wrestlemania...

Guy acts like a dick half the time and people love him. I don't get it.

Haven't quite squared his 'oh I just ride to make the race' with his whinging about Terpstra... mate, tactics is part of the game...

Tactics which made no sense when they had a monument winner in the break and maybe the fastest sprinter in the chase and end up not even contesting the win.

What's happened to Dirk Hofman Motorhomes?

I've seen Luc and Tornado Tom Frits this year, but it's been a few years since I've sported Dirk

You ve met opeQSF before right? ;)

Screwing up tactics and snatching defeat from the jaws of victory is what they do best!

Please note that today's Scheldeprijs starts from Mol (Boonen's home town) rather than the usual Antwerp.

    In recognition, natch.

The scenes from the signing on podium genuinely made me cry. The amount of Tomekke love
