A bet there are some Griffons up there. It does look a bit of a hike, though.
Dull here for the rest of the week.0 -

Should be brighter here later in the week.
Here's the view from the top, looking back. It would be a better photo later in the day,

There were some interesting cloud formations with sun coming through combined with the bright yellow fields of rapeseed on my drive today but couldn't find a suitable place to stop for a snap0

Always annoying, especially when you know how easy it would be on a bike to stop & snap.0 -
Stunning! It looks much more forested than I thought from your pics. France really has got it in terms of scenery.

Most of the hillsides are still forested. And yes, this bit is stunning. If you use Facebook, you'll see I've got photographic diarrhoea... just can't stop the flow of photos, but I get lazy with the creativity, because the scenery makes it easy. https://www.facebook.com/unanglaisendiois0 -
I haven't got a Facebook account (weird) but can still view some pics. Yeah, that would do me.
Great stuff!

My signature here links to my Wordpress blog, but not as many photos, as I'm a tightwad and so have limited storage for uploads. Facebook entertains my profuse diarrhoea without limits. I could probably 'monetise' that 'vector' to a degree, but I can't be bothered even to try, as I do it for fun.0 -
Cheers, pinno (even if you hated saying it). It's easier than you might think. I’ve been down there many evenings where nothing happens, it’s looking good, then the sun just sinks behind a bank of cloud. When thing fall into place (luck), you can get something good.pinno said:
I hate to say it but that's bloody brilliant.masjer said:Sorry, a sunset again, but I'm pleased with it.
One of the main probs at that beach is the tide. It has to be a good low tide to expose much sand. On the plus side, the sand stays wet and gives a great reflection, which really helps.0 -
Hoping to get some nice shots in Masjer territory next week.0

Maybe I am a bit trigger happy, I must admit I do trash a lot of pics.pinno said:0 -
I was told by JV that film was the cheapest stuff so take lots of pics. Nowadays, with digital camera's you can fire away all day long and why not.masjer said:
I must get out and about myself and try and go somewhere different. I've been tight with my petrol and not been very adventurous recently.Pross said:Hoping to get some nice shots in Masjer territory next week.

I think that's the secret... take lots, and be happy to scrap most of them. Actually, with practice, the strike rate gets better, but that mindset of "If I only keep one, which one?" does help you raise your game.0 -
I don't really like taking a camera and my smartphone isn't up to it. Also, I think I've got burnout/overtraining too, so have eased off and cut down my mileage.shirley_basso said:
Sometimes a bike doesn't get you to the best bits and you've got to walk. I'm not going walkabout all lycra'd up.0 -
I've went the opposite recently for when I have a day to myself and resurrected what I pretentiously call velo-photo.masjer said:

Go out on the bike with my camera and a couple of lenses. Pootling along slowly and stopping at any photo opportunity.
Absolutely useless for training purposes but a wonderful way to spend a day. Cafe/pub stops are mandatory too. 😉 One from my last excursion.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.5 -
Something cycling and photography related. I used to follow Robert Gesink on his Strava posts (I've deleted my account so not looked recently). He takes some great stuff (iphone) on his training rides around Andorra, Spain and France.

Thanks! I've got the Dolomites planned for this year. Expect to be bombasted. 😉masjer said:Something cycling and photography related. Although the focus there will primarily be the cycling and photos at the summits. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

You're within 1.5km. Not bad.

Presume it is this, but the internet is not very good at provding locations. Camden Square was the other option. I'll chalk this up as a loss though.

Me too. Actually, it seems it's also a good way for me not to overdo it (which seems to trigger my brain injury): once upon a time I loved nothing more than a properly hard ride with some long pushes on the way back, but for the time being, I'm enjoying all the looking for photo stops and then enjoying the ride again when I look at the photos back at base. Great therapy, and I get to notice things I've ridden past and never really seen.pblakeney said:

This is a technical fail: I was hoping the autofocus would pick on the cowslip, but it didn't. Even so, I quite like mélange of flowers in the roadside field, and the lack of real focus almost adds to it. Well, I'm going to go with that excuse anyway.
