Oh yeah. Never made that link.
The Dolly came in different shades of diarrhoea.
Hard to think that the Toyota Celica in 1972 had electric windows, a sunroof (as standard) and a proper (not electric) 5th gear.

Caught a bit of the Drôme Classic today... got quite a nice spot for photos.

...though I won't win any prizes.

At least it's not a blurred image of cyclists.
I shot rolls and rolls of film at cycling events. Never did I get a good shot. I even caught Claudio Ciapucci coming out of his hotel the next day and got a blurred shot of him. As I was stood there and he very gracefully posed for me at my request, a hoard of stampeding females bundled me over towards him and he actually propped me up (whilst giggling).
So I got a shot of his mug from about 20" away - all blurred.
I might dig it out and try to scan it tomorrow.

This is actually a better one - it does rather look as if I was standing in the middle of the road...

Just to add some cycling to the thread....
From Tour Cycliste Poitou-Charentes in Melle 2010.
An attempted jump to the front group.

The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

The Austin 1300 was in De Beauvoir town, the day after I was back in London after being in Torquay. There are lots of immaculate British Leyland cars where I live in North London and also in that part of East London. All in varying shades of brown.

Oh and a scarlet red 911 variant with decals. Let me dig that one out...

Always enjoy a game of where's that in London, but I've lost. The white building in the background is distinctive.

Some random cars on public streets, ie not hire cars, publicity or events.
Note how small a real Mini is. I have more. 😉

Should have got that, but your shot is deceptive, because it makes it look like a residential road whereas if you'd included a carpet shop I'd have got it straight away!

The game is definitely easier with video shots on TV. It was also easier pre-covid when I actually travelled around a bit.

Hit a nice sweet spot of capturing movement without it being blurred.
You can tell me it was luck but you have to be there to get lucky.

There's certainly more time spent being unlucky with these sunsets, then it's time for a breath of fresh air and a stroll.

@ Ben - that Porker is 'Guards' red Porker (the one you switched to B&W) - Porsche 964. Nice to see it on the street and not spirited away in a garage. Do these owners want to show off their classics in public?
Interesting. I guess they aren't the value of the Oligarch/Armenian super rich's cars.

My London street id skills amount to zero, so I'll just admire the cars. That Aston looks mint.

@pinno I have only seen it once, to be fair. It may well spend a lot of time in someone's garage!

@pblakeney I recognise the location, but cannot quite place it.

The location game is much easier with half the street name included. The bottom car, and possibly the second, were there when Google drove past.
