Lovely walk in Wentwood this afternoon. Usk Valley and Black Mountains / Brecon Beacons to the north of the ridge line (hills obscured by cloud unfortunately) and Severn Estuary the other side.

I waited for ages for the damned boat to leave but it was getting dark...

    Nice one.

Sometimes I do the same with people who are standing in the way of a lovely view that I want to photograph pretending I'm the only person there. I'm (normally) too polite to ask them to go elsewhere for a minutes or two.

    Thank you!

I took a load on that evening, and they're the only ones I'm happy with.

    Yes, very good Ben.
Having an eye for what is seemingly benign scene and framing it like that put's you on another tier fella.

Yeahbut I'm not the one claiming flattery will get you everywhere.
    I'm fussier than that. 😉

Eventually, yes. Although the path did get damaged about 8 years ago in a storm, it's been restored and is in decent shape now, so should still be there... haven't checked though...

The CV joints are fine. However, the brakes need bleeding and the ABS pump might need stripping and putting back together.
    See you Thursday at 9am?

Despite what I said, I’d love to get under an old car with a tray of spanners, a brew and some seasonal bakes.

Stopped off at Broadway Tower on my way back from site today. Superb views over the Vale of Evesham under a beautiful blue sky plus some unexpected wildlife

My folks live nearby (Bredon) and have similarly spectacular views from the top of the hill. They often see deer as well.

I was a bit worried at this point (last night), that I might not be able to make the track/road I was heading for before dark (plunging into a water filled dyke) image

What a difference a day makes. Today's shots from the Blorenge (the hill the Tumble climb goes up). In the clouds at the top and misty lower down.

I'd have zoomed/cropped it to just the left 3 turbines. Wonderful sky though.
