    This one I love.

Thanks. Is it the hairy nose?

Now you mention it... but actually I love the colour contrast.

What camera / lenses are you using?

A £210 Panasonic Lumix on auto. Modern 'basic' cameras are simply awesome. Having learnt on an OM1, I just love being able to let the camera do most of the clever stuff. And not having to get films developed.

Today's lucky photo. As shot, in woodland. All I've done is crop it a bit.

This is what I was trying to post, but BR was screwing up posting from my phone.

Are you using a tripod and how wide is your lens? I tried quickly with a fixed 50mm lens and no tripod and it didn't go well!

Handheld, all on auto, but the image stabilization in a £210 camera is awesome. Legally about 3" away with a bit of zoom... too much zoom, and the auto focus will switch to the background.

Google tells me I can invert the 50mm lens, so I might try that.

"Legally"? No idea what that was supposed to be, other than proofread before pressing 'Post'.

What filter do you use to get the hairy noise?

A forget-to-proofread app. I seem to make great use of it.

Sunset from the Ayrshire coast. Just got my first decent camera and loving the learning process.

Not sure about crazy golf, there's still the 18 hole putting.

All the times I've been down here I've never had the bike (I used to regularly stay at Stowford when I was a fairly serious cyclist). Either way out of Lynmouth on the A39 is a challenge. Drove over Porlock Hill yesterday which I'd always wanted to try, would need to be out of season though as it's just too busy.
