Weird, that displays OK on the phone, but have to click through a "You're leaving Bike Radar" link on the laptop. I load photos direct into BR now rather than link.

File was slightly too big for BR, and a faff to reduce file size on my phone.

Cropped slightly to get it under 2MB.

Hoping to do a bit of photography around London when I'm up there in a couple of weeks, will be something a bit different for me.

FWIW, I don't look at the file size. I simply resize to 1200 pixels on the long side and add to my post.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

Any of the bridges in the early morning or evening are good if the sun is out. Especially if you can get on the top deck of a bus.

Why have a thread, most of which has got F all to do with cycling? I get shots taken whilst on a ride and love them, but go to a Photography Forum if you want to try and produce art instead of riding a bike.

". . .The cake stop
The place for more serious off-topic questions, light-hearted banter and friendly chat . . . "

A more salient question is why you opened the thread and posted.

Because it's a photography thread on the off topic part of the forum. It will blow your mind if you read the various politics threads on here and discover that cycling isn't discussed in any of them.

Anyway, to keep people happy here's a photo of a polka dot bike taken in Domme back in 2017. I was there a week after the Tour passed through and this was a 4th category KoM climb (looked almost flat on TV but I ran up there and it wasn't!).

Dunno, do you ever go to the pub, and discuss things other than beer?

Plant based again In this afternoon's rain.
I fiddled with the composition for a while to try and get the two main subjects to look like they're having a natter. Perhaps you had to be there.

Think that last one looks exactly like a couple of flowers having a chat.

A risky camera dropping operation, good handling skills.

Some modern art, a dandelion eclipse, and another attempted lichen forest (guest starring moss):

This might be an expensive thread as I think I'm going to have to get a macro lens. 🤣

Or get by with a £200 Sony HX-60 😉
I was actually wondering what I'd replace mine with when the time comes, and looking through the basic compacts, I wasn't at all sure, and it looks more like £400-500 now for something of similar quality. I might be a little less comfortable at that level doing one-handed-while-cycling shots.

Touchy subject, related to the gardening thread... my attempt at growing lavande papillon in the French garden was a miserable failure. ⚰️

A top quality second hand lens would come between those two budgets so doable. 😉

Really like the first one, Mr Trumpet; one rarely sees a photo of that flower so sharp. I'd guess a viola/violet, although it might be a pansy with similar colouring - the two are anyway botanically closely-related.
Whichever, the petals are edible and sometimes used to decorate cakes or ice cream or omelettes or salads. I currently have some bottles of beer in, bought in France, where the beer is flavoured with violets, I think it tastes delicious. From the brewery Brasserie du Mont Blanc.
