Elan Valley on Saturday. I travelled up to do a 10 mile (running) race and the temperature never got above freezing and as I was there took a few shots of what I believe to be one of the most under-rated parts of the UK.
Moon reflecting on the Elan River at Elan Bridge
Craig Goch dam and Penygarreg Reservoir (broke the leg on my tripod here so took the moon photo on my phone!5 -
I agree, it’s a great area for cycling (remote/hills). A loop I particularly enjoy is starting in Lampeter- heading to LLyn Brianne - up to Elan valley - then on to Devil’s bridge - Tregaron - Lampeter - and relax.Pross said:Elan Valley on Saturday. River Dart tat - it was a good decision to do the river valley while the sun was at its 'highest' (about six inches above the horizon) and to get up for possible rainbows as per forecast.

Bit of both really. I simply take a pic of at the same place if I pass it and put the pic on the daily BB thread. All seasons.masjer said:
I've seen that lake somewhere before. Is it a stop off point on your ride, or just where you dump the bodies?pinno said:
You've seen a pic of the same place before because I posted one on p167:

Sometimes getting wakened early as your wife is going to work has it's benefits.
Like being first in the forest after an unforecast snow dump.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.5 -
I see we've all had very different weather. Some transient weather conditions here today.
Starting frosty.

Inondation reportage :
I picked my route carefully, and avoided an involuntary (mud-coloured) bath.1 -
I had to go to Hinkley Point this afternoon and wasn’t sure I’d be able to get back out again as the road from Cannington was flooded in quite a few places and I thought it would get worse before it got better with rain still falling and flowing off fields. Luckily the rain stopped and it had cleared a bit by time I left.0

Just taking advantage (only with my phone) of an Exeter Cathedral concert, and escaping to the organ loft for a bit.

I thought I'd be wasting my time bringing a camera, but it was the type of grey day when the colour/tones stood out.

I likee the second one lots. I'm not good at using people in my photos, but they really make this one, along with the LSS sign and the red buses.0
