Oh the Irony - I'll be leaving home at 17:30 to race in my club 10. That's when Rohan Denis starts (if my time zone calcs are right)
So I'm going to miss the end0 -

Looks like the rain is mainly showers, and might ease for later riders. So bad luck the women and early starters.
Wind doesn't look to be that bad 17 km/h, a touch breezy.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0 -

Matthew Pinsent describing the wind as ripping at the building he's in, and predicting today's rowing will get canned. So I think it's challenging enough
And Ollie Williams reporting its raining sideways with palm trees definitely looking slanty...0 -
What time do the girls start at?“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0

Got it live now, and conditions look sharty*.

Boardman predicting riders will be using "road tyres" with some tread rather than time trial tyres. Interesting that he would use tread - thought the prevailing forum wisdom was that tread made no difference on bike tyres. I didn't know time trial tyres were any different other than that you could get some very lightweight ones without the same puncture protection.
Interested to see how Pooley gets on - not sure the conditions will suit her don't remember her as being a fast descender so that might indicate a cautious approach in the wet - doesn't always follow though.[Castle Donington Ladies FC - going up in '22]0 -
Off already

Riders taking that first corner with the cobbles(?) very very cautiously.
There's some shocking road surface further along.
Pooley off.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0 -
Pooley not happy at all with the start, wasn't held properly, had to re-clip in again. Looks very, very nervous.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0

Is there a website that shows the split times, like the TdF race centre live site?0

That descent is going to be fun................. NOT!
Horrible looking weather.0 -
No protection in that start hut - normally there's a lot more than that isn't there?0
