Good to see Chris Boardman involved with the coverage. Looking forward to this, it looks like the Spec torch bikes will be yellow.

Was he obliged to start the road race in order to do the TT?
    Otherwise, why bother doing 10km?

gap is about 7:30 now. Turkish rider down at begining of the cobbles - "fukcing idiot!" was the yell from one english speaker as the peleton avoided him. Richie Porte off the side of road - not sure hwat is the problem

Why do people fancy nibali got the win? He won't ride off the front on the climb and won't make a big enough gap on the descent to hold on for 12k on the flat. I recon it'll either be a to climber open a big gap on the climb (Froome) or a decent climber who can sprint

Nibali? hes well aggressive and won the Giro on the basis of attacks! and that ride on stage 1 of the TDF in the UK was an attack toward the end up the hill

I'm watching on sky and there are 8 separate HD channels. Sure I saw a cycling option on the red button before.

Edit: just checked red button and once you select Rio 2016 you can then press blue button and cycling is top option.

We had trouble, go to bbc 1 - red button, wait for it to load, go BACK to bbc 1 and the option to 'choose sport' will come up top left in a few seconds. then click on blue button

Good stream on the BBC website

I will admit I'm struggling to ID some riders out of their team kit

Mad course - this is going to be a tough one
