If Kittel wants to protest he ought to protest to his team for leaving him out in the headwind with 250m to go, he'd lost that as soon as Cav drew level and knew it.

Looked like it. Kittel spits the dummy - may have cost him third

Cav moved off his line, but can't see how Kittel could have won.

I could only call one winner at the start of today and it was Cav.

You could tell the moment Kittel opened it up with Cav on his wheel that he was going to take it. I'm not really sure why Kittel feels the need to take it from the front every time.

    Good finish that.

Yep -Cav's definitely done Kittel mentally as well as physically.
Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.

Yeah, Kittel was never coming back from that. Sour grapes.

Really can't understand why EQS don't stick a man on Kittel's wheel to stop Cav getting a lead out. Either that or lead him out to 150m so that there's less chance to get around.

Kittel sort of has to lead from the front because he's the size of a house, he'd get no advantage trying to wheelsuck any of his competitors.

    Great work Cav.

Nice of Millar to come dressed as a caracature Frenchman, do you reckon he has a string of onions and a beret too?

Seems obvious tactics doesn't it, maybe in the maelstrom of a sprint Cav simply has the coolest head and the quickest brain - this Tour for certain anyway. He knows if he sits on Kittel's wheel he's got a perfect lead out.

Honest views from Kristoff there. Happy with his improving form and second place, but says that Cav is the fastest at the moment.

Kittel actually came towards Cav in the first instance than Cav veered slightly towards Kittel after appearing to lose balance.

Kittel / EQS have protested. Commissaires have reviewed the footage and stuck with the results.

    Cavendish wins.

    He's like a footballer.

It's the equivalent of rolling on to the ground in hope of a free kick.

Lost a little bit of respect for Kittel after that.
