Did someone just thrown something at Toblerone Boy?

Just litter flying over someone's shoulder on the breeze I think.

G doing well out on course.

I'm a bit nervous about the possibility of a nutter move on Froome

Wow, Froome calling engineer over ~3mins before start to check front wheel/brake!
What's 'wow' about that? Better to do that before rolling off than when you've already left the ramp.

I think Purito is the one who needs all the help he can get at the mo.

Is it because it is so damn hot and milk was a bad choice?

You would hope stuff like that would have been double-checked long before rider is preparing to go.

Today's a bit unusual though as riders seem to have been umm-ing and ahh-ing about wheel choice till quite late. As mentioned above Cummings nearly missed his start time.

Froome looks less awful on the bike in TT mode.

Mollema 30s down on Dumoulin, 20s on Porte at the 1st check. Quintana should be through there next.

Quintana seems to have a very 'knees out' TT style, doesn't look very effective.

Quntana doesnt look at all comfortable TT'ing, wobbling from side to side on the saddle

NQ's TT bike looks like his parents bought it a bit big so he can 'grow into it'

Froomey is 17secs down at first split. Riding negative splits.. could be interesting.

Ned and Holy Dave were talking about ASO issuing the jersey skinsuits, didn't Wiggins have a custom suit made in advance matching the ASO design?

I think ASO makes a series of suits for different riders that they think might be in yellow. They go and get measured up for it. There was a wee little segment about it one year.

Odds on Froome have gone out to 15/1 + - definitely worth a fiver of anyones money me thinks.

(Don't hold me to it if you lose a fiver!)

Quintana almost stuffs it on that 90 degree left hander... Bardet had trouble too

No, I don't think it was that. I have a memory that Sky/Adidas made it, with ASO's permission, but branded and badged it like the ASO one.

Or it could just be the early onset of Alzheimer's

Martin puts almost 50 seconds into Purito. I think.
