I have read that a disk can actually aid stability in crosswinds (because science)

    Well, pardon me.

    Current:-
    1.OLIVEIRA N. MOV in 51' 46''
    2.DENNIS R. BMC in 51' 56'' at 0' 10''
    3.CUMMINGS S. DDD in 52' 39'' at 0' 53''
    4.BARTA J. BOA in 52' 46'' at 1' 00''
    5.BODNAR M. TNK in 52' 47'' at 1' 01''

It's tailwind, crosswind, crosswind, then 50kph (gusting to 70kph) at the finish.

Quintana will be needing that neutral service bike again. :)

Congratulations, you are 1st to post a completely obvious joke!!!

Like I said yesterday, hundreds of these will follow.

No he's not; I did one in my "Changes to the organisation of the Tour" thread earlier.

Don't count me as a fanboy. I'm not a fan of any particular cyclist as I'm not 14 years old. I have no emotional investment in any of them, just enjoy good performances.

So, my comment was what it was, a sigh at lazy crap attempts at humour.

To be honest there is an argument to be had both ways.

I understand J-A F being frustrated as his incident with Hoogerland, even though it was a good few years ago.

I suppose the fact it was further out and didn't have an impact on the GC will have been key to a different decision being taken.

I totally agree. He was very animated yesterday though! And the other example i posted yesterday of Guerini was different in that he still went on to win the stage.

Anyways, Tony Martin 6th at the intermediate 41" down on the best time. Early days though and so many variables.

That was after the initial up-hill part of the TT. He gained time on the second split I *believe*? He's monstering along at the moment. Good ride by Martin so far.

Why do some riders only get 2min gaps and some later on get 3min gaps? Just for the "show"?

Lars making a bid for the lanterne?

Lars is very much in with a shout for the Lanterne, he's in second place. Bennett has a good 10 minutes on him though, and grabbed a few seconds more today.

I think it's to reduce chances of catch or drafting for the riders that matter.
