It's not the lady on the paperwork that worries me. Dealer tried to get us into a Galaxy as they had one, too big though. Felt more bus like. After 2010 it's a 2.0 turbo and not quite as juicy, unless you let all 240 loose. They hold their money though.
The 2.5 is the one to have for effortless torquey driveability. And easily chipped to get a bit more oomph if you want it - that engine really is in quite a low state of tune for a turbo (less than 90 bhp per litre). It's actually quite difficult to tell that its a turbo engine when you're driving it - feels more like a big capacity NA engine with a slight quattro warble to it.

If you want a 'warts and all' owners experience drop me a line.

    Morning Losers!

Thanks for the messages peoples. The interview seemed to go well, time will tell, and the birthday was a success in that I survived.

Sadly, I now have to return to work. I don't like this place any more.

My dog-walking friend is coming round after work. This is good.

Mule, your interview process seems to be measured in ice ages. Tell them to make a bloody decision or else it's ditch time.

Working from home for a bit until my dentists appointment - got to get a collapsed crown replaced. Great. At least its a short day at work then out for a swift early pint with a mate who is jacking in his job. Says he got his inspiration from me...

I should hear back by the end of next week, which is funny as they need me to start on the 1st July and I have a 4 week notice period to work! There is a start date of October possible though. All will be revealed when I hear back

    Evening job seekers,

Warm un here today and after a sluggish start i have done mowings and weedings and am now enjoying foods and boozes. Washed one of the chickens today as her arris was minging, not the most enjoyable task and she didn't seem to enjoy it either!
    Anyhoo, toodles.

Lying hunt unfortunately. Did get outside for a bit when the fire alarm went off though.

    Where's tkm Wednesday

    Morning fools,

I guess from the lack of tkm he has died of bad aids and been dumped in a ditch somewhere. Planning a 45 mile ride for today though my legs do hurt after 30 brisk miles yesterday.

4 weeks to go until the cruddy coast to coast and still confident that it will kill me.

    This from yesterday
My dog-walking friend is coming round after work. This is good.
So we can safely assume the dog walking friend has found something out about TKM and one of them is in a ditch, head backwards of course. That, or he's worn it out.
    Morning all,
Another glorious and sunny day in paradise, the weather isn't bad here either. Took the long way home last night and rode along the river, got eaten alive by little flying bastards. Today being Wednesday I'll be riding straight home as it's pub later.

    Morning Losers!

Not dead in a ditch or had anything fall off, thankfully! I had no internet last night, and none this morning, which is ridiculous, but I'll survive.

Pizza night was good, tonight I'm over to Bury for a meeting. In the meantime I've got to put up with retard Minion, and work. I really hope I get to leave here soon!

Starting to feel better, which is about time

Nice warm ride in this morning and possibly a hot one on the way back soon. This week has been suspiciously quiet on the work front, I'm starting to think there's something wrong. But I have done loads of other stuff that needed to be done.

Hopefully Manure will get their backsides kicked tonight !

    Thursday

    Morning Losers!

I'm confused as to which day it is as I was off on Monday. I'd forgotten this was a Bank Holiday weekend too! You've gotta love May :)

Today I have to go back to the wretched place of work to earn important pennies. Then later, I'm back over to Bury (again!) to earn some more pennies in a much easier way.

    My internet is back! Woooooo!

Off to dentist shortly which should be expensive but hopefully not painful. Then off to work. After that off out for free food and drink in return for standing up and spouting bollox for 5 minutes. The hourly rate isn't too shabby I suppose.

    Morning berks,

Standard stuff from over here, hot weather, busy Bg etc.

Didn't need Tlw to tell us he was on the water as i saw it on a news flash on the French news! Has the pub had to shut down?

    Morning felchers,
Traditional Thursday hangover is fading at last. Good night in the pub drinking beer as is the way. Why would anyone go to a pub and not drink beer? Very odd. Trying to keep my head down and avoid moaning customers is the main order of business. One of my colleagues birthday today so he brought cakes in. His Mrs makes a pretty fookin' good lemon drizzle cake so I had some of that, then a bit of chocolate brownie. Might go and see if there's anything else left.

    Hell Yeah Boooiiii! It's FRIDAYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!

    Morning Losers!

It's the final morning of the working week before a Bank Holiday Weekend! Woooo!

Found out yesterday that I've been given a conditional offer of a job, so I just have to finish the final paperwork and activities they have planned (longest job application ever!) and then I can hand my notice in!

Today work, home, shower, go to Bury, go to pub.

    Yeah TKM, well done

Working from home after a 6hr commute yesterday and a full day in the office. Which meant I managed to struggle to the pub to catch the last of the sun with cider

Going for a run in a minute - first for a week, so just as I'm meant to be tapering

Later is either a BBQ or local - might go for both

Well done Tkm, what job is it? Fluffer in p0rn films?

    Morning peeg dogs,

Up early here as gardening needs done before it gets too hot this also means a siesta later before boozes and foods.

Good news TKM, extra happy Fryday.
Went to the cafe yesterday as a friend turned up, today being Fryday I will have to go again. Plus it's cake Fryday so it's a double win. Just to top it off I'm meeting the Mrs in the pub later so even more winning. The only fly in the ointment is having to deal with idiots, I mean customers.
Son's last day of school today, so to celebrate he seems to have come out and has gone in to school wearing his sister's schooliform. Good job she's tall so at least the skirt reaches his knees. We're not expecting to see him until some time tomorrow afternoon, I think it will get very messy.
    Anyway, onwards and upwards...

He's a car part salesman and he's OK...

Afternoon, starting to wind down for the long weekend. Got some egg and bacon for brekky on the way in this morning then caught a few rays in Regents park over lunch. 4 days off awaits, admittedly involving a bit of driving and house clearing in the second half. But still, looking forward to the break 8)

    Saturday

Knackered thanks to pub and heat related sleep

Going to try a long run even though I should be tapering, mainly because I'm in a step challenge week with a pal and I can't get beaten again

Into town after the run for the kids theatre group, so a couple of hours acting as a mule for the wife's shopping

Later is a BBQ at friends, it will be painful

    Morning Losers!

bg13 Imagine it was that job! I'd be King of the Crudders! Nothing quite that exciting really, I'll reveal all in good time.

Today I'm about to get ready to go out on the bike. Hopefully I'll be back home before the forecasted thunderstorms take place. I imagine being on top of the Pennines when there's lightning occurring isn't the wisest decision!

After that, my dog-walking friend is coming to stay with me. I think a chippy tea is on the cards.
