Interesting day when there wasa bit of headless chicken activity after our rather conservative head office found that a couple of companies in the Panama papers had the same name as ones in our Group. Turns out they had nothing to do with us but not before much panicking and flapping around.

Ride in was good, the way back I think my legs had turned to lead!

    Morning Losers!

Well that was a shoot nights sleep. I woke up at 3:30 for no apparent reason. Managed to get back to sleep, but I'm knackered!

Yesterday at work was rubbish, so rubbish, I consoled myself by buying a PS4 8) Thanks to Amazon Prime, it should be arriving today. Thanks to being a bit annoyed when buying it, I had it sent to work, meaning I'll have to try and balance it on a motorbike coming home...

    Mehning all,
Today is my Friday, which is definitely a good thing. I also have to bunk off at 4 to take the girl for a follow up with the consultant at the hospital. I have to try not to punch him for taking over 2 months to write a referral because I need him to do another one.
Suffering slightly after the second successive night on beer and curry, but a good night was had. Just got to get today over and done with. Tomorrow is going for a ride with a mate. We're going down to Guildford and riding back along the Rivers Wey and Thames stopping at a few pubs as we go. Nothing too strenuous, just dicking about on bikes and drinking beer.

    Morning,

Today is not going to be pretty. Did a bit of Taco Tuesday last night. Well more a lot an now im suffering. Also one of my screens keeled over an stopped detecting input so ive hauled out some ancient NEC 19" square job. Oh an had someone ranting at me their "program" doesnt work an IT need to fix it. Its a jeffing MS Access database! Tempted to relieve my aching guts on the guys desk an steal his monitor if he carries on.

    Morning,
Early night last night instead of getting the kids stuff ready for the morning. One of them has been getting me up at 5am so had plenty time this morning and a better sleep. Win win.
Today I'll be procrastinating and one site this morning then going to another site for more of the same this afternoon.

Update as this initially had me happy now im dreading it.

After my monitor died today an email came out about new kit being rolled out Monday for us. all fancy speedy kit 64 bit builds. I read the spec of the machines though. i7 processor which is great, with 2Gb of RAM. What the actual hell are they thinking?
Also im being placed close to super loud weird minion in a desk move. I need to check the companies policy again on chainsaws in the office.

Buying now you should at least spec 8gb, memory is cheap enough these days. Tight gets.

Yup, managers are keeping their nice laptops an we are building some of them some HP Z640's Its baffling. Only upside is I get to go from a pair of 19in wide screens with VGA connectors to a pair of 23in screens with display ports wooo!
Oh an the managers all get windows 10.

    Evening geeky peeps,

Had a mixed day, chainsaw chain knackered, this mildly annoyed me so had the tree down with an axe, hard work but satisfying, petrol strimmer won't accelerate, think the fuel mix is wrong! On the upside, got that pesky tree down and put up a large shelf in the potting shed to the wifes satisfaction!

    Sweet

Aldi are selling them for about £80 at the moment. Just saying...

    Friday!

    Morning Losers!

The PS4 arrived about 5 minutes before I went home yesterday, which had me worried! I then had to strap it to the back of the motorbike and ride home over the M62. It didn't even budge, very happy!

So, got it up and running, played a bit of Unchartered 4, and I'm a happy Mule! Well, work is getting in my way now, but there we go.

Happy damned Friday! Day off so just thinking about getting up. Need to sort a couple of things before I dig the Cotic out and go for a slow muddy pub wobble. Should be fun and it certainly beats working.

Oooh! Though I think it may be breach a couple of regulations about smoke in the office so ill go with an electric hedge trimmer, could even wear a mask seeing as its Friday 13th.
Jason Voorhees wouldnt be half as intimidating if he had to stop, unplug his saw and find the next available socket though.

Anyway, Friday im famished declined food last night owning to the Tacos revenge. Now mainly eating stodge so cake which is never a bad thing. Not sure whats going on today bar that

    Morning Losers!

Today I was meant to be going on an awesome motorbike ride with some mates, however I'd forgotten that I'd agreed to ferry my friend to a concert in Burnley this morning. I don't mind, it'll be ok, but the weather is looking awesome and the ride would have been sweet.

All this is overshadowed by the fact I want to be playing my PS4! At least I'll be doing that this afternoon :)

Today will be spent sorting the garden out, it's never ending this time of year, then hopefully a nice leisurely bike ride this evening, still a cold north/ n easterly wind blowing here in Lincoln
    Have a nice weekend

Been doing a bit of charity fund raising type stuff so I'm feeling good and self righteous. The three bottles of plonk I won on the bottle stall helped as well - they've gone straight in the fridge for tonight. Also managed to stuff my face enough not to need dinner tonight :)

    Sunday

    Morning Losers!

Yesterday was good. Only managed to get out for a walk, but it was good being outdoors.

Today is a normal Sunday, though I have to get over to Bury first thing, which sucks. My parents are coming back from their coach holiday, and I'm doing the usual routine of picking them up from a service station.

How interesting a life I lead.

    Morning,

Today I'll be pondering a big question. My wife's friends husband died suddenly and his funeral is on Thursday. I've only meet him a couple of times at kids parties but he was a nice guy. My wife is in the Himalayas. The funeral is a six hour round trip away as that's where his family is from. Do I:
    A) sack it off completely and go to work
    B) get the day off and go in my wife's absence
Or C) get the day off and go riding in Glentress as it's half way between here and where the funeral will be held.
A is what I will probably do.
B is what I feel I should do.
C is what I'd rather do.

Other than pondering I'll be taking the kids to the woods today.

Coincidentally I have a funeral on Thursday as well. They are seeing off my Godfather and my old man's life long best friend. My folks really want to go to the funeral - which is in Surrey and they're on Teesside. No way can they get their on their own so guess who has to do two round trips which will total about 1,200 miles. Need to take 2 days off this week.

Onwards to more coffee and a bit of footy.

I'm not going to any funerals this week, at least not that I know of. Oodboo, the dead bloke doesn't give a toss if you go. You would only be going to support those close to him that are left behind. So, this being the crud. Is the widow fit? That should be the basis of your decision.

    Monday

Good weekends tend to lead into work meh mondsys

I'm in Chester today so I'm parking 6 miles out to give my legs a little spin - not much, but they are tired from an active weekend

Steve - is there someone near your old folks who you can pay to bring them down?

    Morning Losers!

I went to bed far too late last night (technically this morning) and woke up far too early! My house is absolutely freezing too, however cba with the heating as it would take longer to heat up than it would for me to leave!

So today I have good minion back. Nothing much planned, I'll get some film developed to see how this camera turns out (then sell it) and then an evening of PS4.
