I've already stocked up on food in my gut as I'm not allowed to eat for 6 hours before the operation - sadistic bar stewards. Just doing a bit in the office before I head off to the abbatoir, sorry hospital to get sliced up. Apparently they''ll let me out tomorrow while I'm still fresh enough to be valuable to the local butchers shop.

    Been great knowing you.
I'm back, sorry :) All went well and I'm back home but the nerve blocker is wearing off now, so it's either nurofen or cider for pain relief.

On the subject of cheap wine, I remember being in France as a kid and the locals used to go and fill up barrels at these wine pumps that looked like petrol stations, stoopidly cheap.

In a couple of weeks or so, when I can take my arm out of this bloody sling. Right now, just need to keep it as still as possible to let the tendon repair heal up.

Looking forward to seeing the holes when I take the padded dressing off later...

Then come out with a story to match. Shark bite?
I'm sure you know but when it comes to physio do it as they tell you and as much as you can. Might hurt, but you've got to do it properly to get the most out of it. Friend's wife didn't do physio after breaking her wrist because it hurt. Several years later her hand still doesn't work properly.

They told me it's me more about what not to do - main thing is keep it still and let it heal up (soft tissue injury). Then start building up the muscle strength gradually.

But I am taking the advice seriously, yep.

They never mentioned it, but luckily I haven't injured anything that I walk with.

    Morning, helmet polishers.

Stay where you are, bg13. It hasn't stopped raining here for about 2 months. At least in that French Franceland you can get decent wines for a reasonable price.

Today stretches before me with the thrill of writing up a visit report, being annoyed by the loud-mouth bloke the other side of the office who always SHOUTS down his phone and as much caffeine as my system can take.
    Wahey!

Got a self imposed cap of €2 a bottle and get some reasonable stuff at that. Not sure who buys the expensive stuff, must be the tourists like Tlw!

    True story!

Spend the same as we do when we are in the uk and drink much nicer wine

    Morning tw@s,

No rain or cloud, this is worrying.

Sorting out a room for the rowing machine as I've been off it too long, this fitness kick may not last long but hopefully with the upturn in the weather i may get out on the bike!

But a brew and a cake first as we cannot rush these things!

    Hello ends of bells.

I've not done this in a while, but I've not changed. Today I'm going for a lovely spa day and having the double masseuse massage.

Ant and Dec fell out over one of those on a cruise because Ant didn't get any massage action and it was all hands on Dec.

    Morning walkers,
Seems strange to see Gaz's dancing gimp in here, can't believe he was released early for good behaviour. Traditional Thursday morning hangover is in evidence, tried to clear my head by wobbling in. Ended up just wobbling slower. Just had a bit of tea bagging action, unfortunately it was my mouth involved. Really should take the tea bag out of my mug before I get to the end of it. Dead pig is needed, thankfully colleague has just offered to go to the cafe.

    Morning, bag suckers.

Blimmin' 'eck, Gazlar. That was one heck of a train journey you have been on. 18 months or so. How far up the valleys did you go?

Work avoidance and coffee drinking are the orders of the day here.

I've had to make do with whatever leftover is in the fridge and can be made one handed. Not been past my own driveway in over 2 days now and working from home is getting a bit bloody tedious, 'specially as Strifey has been around. Grumble grumble.

    Morning, felchers and felchees.

After a leisurely start to the day I intend to maintain a low level of activity in work before an early finish and a drive to West Wales to see the elderly parents.

No dead piggy this morning due to my tardiness, but the lure of The Golden Arches is strong so a mid-trip stop may be on the cards this afternoon.

    Onwards to caffeine and procrastination.

Morning regular walkers and one armed bandit,
Very glad it's Fryday, I will have to go and eat dead piggy later as it's the law. If it's not the law it should be. Out for beer and loud music in the big smoke later. Until then I just have to try to look busy. Only had three cups of tea so far and the biscuit supply is getting worryingly low. Might need to go foraging for cake.

Pity I can't make it this eve - worked from home again and will have a shot at going in next week. So boredom reigns but at least there's food and drink on the menu tonight. That and monging in front of the telly.
