    Watcha, felchers.

Bright and sunny but blimmin' cold here in The Promised Land.

Today will consist of shirking and pretending to be interested in anything spoken to me in work.

I (say it quietly) went for a ride on an actual mountain bike last night. May do it again next week.

No peddling for me as I’m working from home and racing on Saturday

Later is clean the race bike, well that’s my plan, got a feeling it will be a walk with the wife downloading everything from her day (actually a few hours) at ‘work’

Stevo - what’s stressbag going to be up to whilst your away, had a fantastic week a few years ago when I left the wife and kids in Cyprus
Stressing and dog walking mainly. I wouldn't mind if they stayed and I came back, but its not me that has to.

Anyhow, passed my pre op medical so they can carve up my shoulder next week knowing I'll stay alive long enough to suffer. 8-12 week recovery, wonderful  It's enough to drive you to drink...

    Good afternoon, gentlefolk.

I had a trip to the tooth doctor this morning. All good but why do they ask you to open wide, stick several implements in your gob and then start asking you questions?

Any video evidence of the close friendship, bg13? Or haven't you installed the cameras in the gite yet?

    Evening Mongles,

Escaped early to do Dads taxi duty then got stuck on the train. Stressbag decided that Stropteen couldn't wait around for 20 minutes so went off to do taxi duty in a huff. No doubt she'll come back with an extra long list of jobs as revenge  That said, wait till next week when I only have one good arm :)

Cold tramp fuel on standby for this evening...

BG - reminds me I need to sort holidays. Every year the wife suggests flying somewhere, I suggest California to my mate and then she suddenly wants to drive to France!

Today maybe my last day as I’ve got man flu and meant to be racing today :(

    Morning gits,

With the amount of rain we're getting tlw, i think you'd need a boat the whole way.

Rugby last night was reyt good, Angouleme won well and there were extra half time dancing girls on the pitch.

Today, the fire is on and I'm looking out the window at the rising water levels...........meh!

    Evening Gimboids,

Been stupidly busy today doing jobs, stock in up with grog for my post op convalescence next week and looking at new bits of kitchen. Nearly time to get the Thai take away and get stuck into the Muscadet in the fridge before monging on the sofa watching MOTD :)

    Afternoon gimps,
Lazy morning was had as I’m lazy. Weather is pisspoor so don’t fancy going out to do much. Off to see the ‘rents for lunch now followed by lounging about and maybe looking at the papers. Fixed the cooker which was a relief as that saves a wedge of cash. Turned out that even though the timer stopped working years ago it decided to stop the oven working. Poxy thing.

    Evenin' All,

P1ss poor weather has stopped most outdoor activity, including the hound who didn't fancy going far this morning which I didnt mind too much tbh.

Got to pack some overnight stuff as the op is early tomorrow evening so I'm staying over in the hospital. Might get a decent brekkie, you never know.

Good luck Stevo hope the butchery/operation is a success and you can get back to furios, painfree walking once again. Ps who will be holding your last will & testament? Just in case you understand.

Thanks bg, I can type one handed so I'll be back on here to annoy you lot as soon as the anaethsetic has worn off. Wonder if they serve booze in the evening?

Not sure about the will, but definitely not the trouble n strife :)

    Morning, workers and shirkers.

I was up at sparrow's fart this morning to drive to a big RAF base in Oxfordshire only to find on my arrival that the main person I have come to see has called in sick. Bah!

Never mind though - I had time for a scoff based around dead piggy and am now quaffing MoD coffee.

Onwards to appearing busy before I can make my escape.

    Morning twerps,

Brize? Jba. Did you manage to get a parking space?

Abysmal weather here so interior based stuff is happening. Mrs is making cake so i may hang around the kitchen area.

    Morning 'tards,
Although the afternoon is imminent. I found a bicycle and managed to pedal it this morning so parking wasn't an issue for me. Getting my legs and lungs to work properly however...
Fairly dull day in the office as expected, also pretending to be busy. Need to go out in search of food shortly, might stock up on biscuits whilst I'm at it.

I've already stocked up on food in my gut as I'm not allowed to eat for 6 hours before the operation - sadistic bar stewards. Just doing a bit in the office before I head off to the abbatoir, sorry hospital to get sliced up. Apparently they''ll let me out tomorrow while I'm still fresh enough to be valuable to the local butchers shop.

    Indeed.
Working in the new maintenance hangar so parking not a problem.

Anyhoo, I escaped at lunch time and bolted for the border. Now safely back in The Promised Land.

    Morning trench dwellers,
Another day on the hamster wheel drinking tea as if my life depended on it. Might actually do some work at some point, although that seems a bit keen. Tonight beer and curry on expenses has been postponed which is dull, will have to go through some of the stash I have at home then.

    Morning, helmet polishers.

Stay where you are, bg13. It hasn't stopped raining here for about 2 months. At least in that French Franceland you can get decent wines for a reasonable price.

Today stretches before me with the thrill of writing up a visit report, being annoyed by the loud-mouth bloke the other side of the office who always SHOUTS down his phone and as much caffeine as my system can take.
    Wahey!
