EQS does seem to be somewhere talent goes to to die. It seems if you enter the WT with them then you do OK, if you join them after doing well with another team it all goes a bit mediocre.

    The cofidis of the WT?

Cofidis are third in the UCI Europe Tour ranking - Bouhanni is 29th in the UCI rankings - that's above Cavendish and EB Hagen Adam Yates and G Thomas

I've seen some straws clutched but that's brilliant.

I'm sure Cav and Yates are crying themselves to sleep over their UCI rankings and throw darts at pictures of Bouhanni, just wishing they hadn't got those stage wins or 4th overall when they could be 29th in the world.

    its a measure of consistency

Not as high as Baptiste Planckaert (25th). Shows the rankings are a bit odd; Both of them picked up points a small races (apart from MSR).

Amazing, someone who is better at Boxing than cycling is 29th in the rankings. Farcical.

Suprised at that, he still hasn't developed much on the talent he showed on his first year in 2014.

Consistency of what? Mediocrity? Race entry?

Let me rephrase my statement as a question. Do you think Cavendish and Yates, or their Team Management, give a monkey's about their UCI rankings in relationship to Bouhanni given their respective palmares this year? Now you answer honestly.

Thought he wanted to do well at Flanders, don't see that happening in Etixx roster...

that wasn't the issue - the comment was about Cofidis being a graveyard team - I was making the point they are high in the Europe tour ranking and Bouhanni has repaid some of the faith in him - that is why he holds a top 30 position,. Navarro was well supported in the tour and had a series of top 5/10 finishes on the tough stages and Edet and Mate played a part.

You seem to be getting in a tizz about nothing

    I know what you mean.

He needs to improve his TT, and he says that the Vuelta is his main goal this year. (Giro he worked for Duran Duran).
  • Not sure if it's been mentioned yet but Hugh Carthy to Cannondale. Not entirely sure it's a good move for him given their track record in recent years. Seems an amazing prospect, maybe a GC candidate one day if his TT is up-to-scratch?

    BURGHARDT to Bora.

They're shaping up to be a pretty solid team for 2017.

Also, Lampre rumoured to have been sold to a Chinese company and set to stay at WT.

I've heard rumours of Tom Stewart heading to Dimension Data, but we'll see if that happens. Would make sense given the Roger Hammond link.

What does the Bahrain team lineup look like now then? Seem to have some pretty big names.
