That little gem at the end is mana for conspiracy theories at both ends of the spectrum.Dorset_Boy said:Aparently the FBI had to pre-warn the ex-president's security detail. Also, the documents they were searching for are so secret they can't be named on the warrant.

A guy in America finds out the consequences of taking classified information home.
Always nice when the self important are brought back down. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

Are we talking glow in the dark ink, or the PIN for the safe with the codes in it?rick_chasey said:Sounds like the FBI were looking for nuclear documents...

At least now we know why the real reason why Trump was so obsessed with flushing the White House lavatory 15 times.

Some legal scholars have suggested that accusing the FBI of planting something could undermine any later argument that it wasn't there.0

Should we take this as hedging bets, to be one step ahead if he gets reelected? Surely right now he doesn't actually have anything to sell.0

Could have been info on supply options and also giving knowledge of US or others' resources. Not technical info they don't already have I wouldn't have thought. For Trump the technical info is a picture of a rocket and a mushroom cloud drawn woth a sharpie constitutes technical information.rick_chasey said:

Intentional use of "mushroom" when discussing the Trumpster?First.Aspect said:

Liz Chaney loses the primary. She was the only candidate who opposed Trump and called out his attempted coup.
Republican voters don’t want the truth. Fascist party. Genuinely.
Also, strong signal that Trump will be the candidate next time round.0 -

Big special in the economist this week on the Republicans but it’s looking pretty worrying, even by Trump standards.
Out and out old skool European far right.0 -
Two recent studies in the US that show how things are going over there.
Very worrying for the whole world if #2 comes to pass.
1. The constitutional crisis is more important than the economic crisis. Given the how bad the economic crisis is...

More legal perils for Trump... though this one doesn't directly risk jail time...

I think most of his support considers this sort of thing a positive. Little guy, man of the people (billionaire politician) getting one over on the banks and the deep state (the tax man).briantrumpet said:More legal perils for Trump... though this one doesn't directly risk jail time...

With the news that an appeals court has confirmed that classified documents belong to the government, and that they can continue to use them in their criminal investigation of him, Trump melts down a little more...

That is all quite 2016. It is probably a good time for him to release a "Greatest Hits" in Spotify.0

I don't know. The odds of something going even more catastrophically wrong geopolitically is vastly enhanced if either Trump or another fascist GOP acolyte gets in, and that could change our way of life indefinitely.
So somehow branding the guy a filthy liar and criminal as extensively as possible is a good thing regardless of whether or not he is still free to play golf.0 -

Even for Trump, his official response to the J6 Committee subpoena is off-the-scale nuts. Worth a read, just in case you thought that this ex-POTUS still has just one normally-functioning brain cell left.
