    I can't take any credit but it has been pointed out that a fictional President is now seeing his acting career destroyed because of allegations and the actual President is in the White House despite his admissions on camera.

    There are two separate things going on here: the US's fixation with guns, which no amount of logic and deadly statistics seems to have any effect on (to a greater or lesser extent channelled by the NRA, and the way that US politics are beholden to narrow interest organistations); and Trump, who is impervious to logic or morals.

    Anyway, I am looking forward to coverage of his Asian tour. It should be a hoot provided WW3 doesn't break out.

    On lesser news, I'm now third undersecretary of state for first generation immigrants. I'm supremely qualified having never lived outside of the UK. I qualify for this role under the welsh and Irish football player qualifications rules, my grandfather was American!

    So I should resign and take up another post in HUD as a confidential assistant. Although I only lived in an urban environment for my 3 years at university I could still be over qualified for that role.

    Ambassador to Chile please. I speak no Spanish so in trump land I'm a perfect candidate. I really like to visit Machu Picchu and too tight to do it on my own dollar. Only do I have to marry Palin or some other trump supporting nut job to get that? It might rule out for me.
