Those were the socks, recommended. Not going to write 500 words about them though.
I need some new winter socks too, currently got Woolie Boolies but they're too short and Rapha winters which are well used.
I bought some Galibier Fire Feet but the material is really loose and the heel cup is massive, I'm right in the middle of the medium size, I'm a 43 and they are 42-44 so they should be good but I'm sending them back.
Those dhb look good value too.
I've just got some of the Prendas ones which seem pretty decent. Not as warm as Woolie Boolies but still nice.
Do you know that the Woolie Boolies come in two lengths? The longer ones are fairly long.
Yeh I was browsing earlier and came across the 6" cuff, I must have the 4".Colnago Master Olympic

On one hand, I like the jersey's idea for autumn and early spring, and leaving money in Scotland. On the other, the jersey seems to be a bit baggy from pictures. For extra annoyance, that castelli perfetto light is unlikely to be baggy, and can be had for >£80 atm..
For Scotland, for that time of year, I'd be looking at the Gabba with arms or the Aeron Rain Defence and arms. Perfetto probably a bit cold. Endura looks nice mind, if you can get it to form fit.
Cheers! In the end, since I don't have arm warmers, I've taken a punt on the Endura. If it fits, great. If it doesn't, well, I'll have to test CRC's return policy.0 -

Despite buying them several months ago I finally got round to christening the neoprene Hot Tuna gloves from SD cause of the rain and can say I'm happy with them for the list price of £5.99 though I think I paid less. The cuff is long and was covered by the sleeves of my jacket but my hands weren't dry cause of sweat build-up but they weren't wet and cold. A quick blast with the hand dryer in work took most of the damp feeling away but a sprinkling of talc and airing for 8 hours had them dry when I left work, not that I needed them.

I could be wrong, but neoprene tech, like a wetsuit, is not supposed to keep you dry. Just not cold. I've been using neoprene gloves for the bike, through the last few winters, and never had cold hands yet.Superstition sets the whole world in flames; philosophy quenches them.

Yes, it soaks the sweat up for a bit feeling a bit better. They always end up wet though.0 -

Thanks for the review. The only pair of bibs I'll probably wear for the next 5 months or so.
The Mille pad.... Anyone know how it compares to the one in their 'budget' Neopro shorts? Looking on their website it seems like the Mille is the replacement for the Neopro summer shorts. There's no mention of the pad changing so assuming it's moved across.
I have both Neopros and Equipes but prefer the latter for fit/less bulk.0 -

Perfetto long sleeve v alpha jersey?
I've already got the alpha jersey and jacket but like the look of the long sleeve perfetto in surf blue. It'll go nicely with my Dale and it's just under £90 at sigma.
Is it worth getting one or is it too similar to the jersey? Anyone own both?
Cheers0 -

I have a Gabba LS and an Alpha Jersey. I think the Gabba is slightly warmer, certainly on the arms. Chest vents are helpful to regulate heat. Alpha jersey breathes better though, as the back on mine is "nanodry" rather than the full Windstopper x-lite of the Gabba. Thanks for the reply L2R, its now out of stock in my size as I've been differing! I've signed up for an email once they come back but we'll see if it's still the same price! Cheers.0 -

Just a thought, but CRC have the Perfetto Convertible jacket in surf blue down from £200'odd to £111 in a range of sizes. Tweeks have it in black for only £99. I'd have thought that was warmer still over the shoulders and upper arms, and versatile with the ability to remove the arms if needed.

Pinno, Sorry but I don't know about the DHB merino buff that you pointed to but I have got a Buff buff in merino that I bought from my local camping store bargain bin for a tenner a couple of years ago and it's really nice and feels generally better than any of the synthetic ones that I own (and I seem to have accumulated a lot of them!). Also on the subject of being a DHB convert, ditto for me - I got one of their Aeron Full Protection Softshell jackets a couple of weeks ago and it's fantastic - soft, warm and seems quite breathable as well. Even better, it was listed as down to £85 but when I went to check out the 'system' only wanted to charge me £55.Cannondale Synapse Carbon Ultegra

Ditto - I have the Aeron softshell (not the full protection one) but it is my goto jacket unless it's really cold, then it's the Espresso.

No, due to that contradiction in terms funnily enough.

I'd echo the cheap buffs comment. I have an original 'buff' and a cycling plus? free knock off. The latter is just fine.
