Has anybody got any short-sleeve summer jersey recommendations? I'm wearing Rapha Pro Team and La Passione Raw at the minute, and both of which are 'pro fit' which I like.
Would like something along those lines, although preferably in a lighter fabric- I'm living in Southern Germany at the minute and it's pushing 30 degrees everyday, which is proving a bit challenging for someone from Manchester!
£100 is my absolute limit for a jersey. Have looked at Void, Stolen Goat and Fibr so far (they had a very nice turquoise one), anybody else got any favourites?0 -
Cafe du cycliste has nice light weight jerseys. I have one that is making it's uk debut tomorrow. I normally wear Rapha Pro Team but went to the cafe du cycliste cafe in Nice and thought the jerseys look much better than the internet pics.

Any reviews on Pactimo jerseys? They have a sale on currently and the ascent climbers 3.0 looks smart.0

I keep thinking about getting one but someone on here suggested there's not much to say other than good jerseys. I do like the look of them mind.My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

I really like my Gore Phantom jersey. Mix of 'normal' and light mesh fabric. Really nice slim fit in M (I'm a 38" chest).0 -

Scratch that. I ordered and just tried on another Phantom. They changed it... now fairly hideous0 -

I've recently bought a Pactimo jersey (Ascent 3.0) and some bibs (Ascent Flash 2.0) - very impressed with both, especially for the sale prices! Jersey is quite lightweight and well fitted, pockets don't sag when loaded. Sleeves are nice, they're a bit longer than most and are slim but stretchy, so don't flap around even on skinny cyclist arms.
I've only had one ride in the bibs, but first impressions are good. Didn't really notice them during a fairly high intensity 70 miler, which is what you want from a pair of bibs. They feel slightly compressive, but not over tight. Will reserve full judgement until I've done some longer rides in them, but I've got on well with Cytech pads (used in the higher end DHB shorts) in the past.
The size charts are pretty good - fit is more towards the racey/aero end of the spectrum. I'm 6', 68kg, 30" waist, 36" chest and find small fits me well in both (same with Castelli)0 -

Anyone know of any working Pactimo codes?
I had a 30% one a year or more back when I ordered the bib shorts that didn't fit me, but am thinking I might be ok with a jersey or two, but an extra few % off never hurts to seal the deal, especially as I will likely order 2 to get free delivery.Felt F70 05 (Turbo)

I do indeed, been googling like a demon, but neither 30PAC, PAC30, or it's 20 variant cousins are yielding anything - not sure if it is because they are sale items.
I know kind of 'Ambassadors' (Non Ferrero Rocher types) used to be able to pass personal codes out to people.
This be the one I like the look of:

Ya wee buggers, well I have ordered the one above, and also:
Had a pair of Raptor 2 bibs in my basket, but recall it's predecessor had straps that were too long for me, and saw this echoed in a couple of reviews, so decided not to take the risk - recall the material and pad quality being excellent, so a likely stunning deal for £90.Felt F70 05 (Turbo)

Hey Spongey,
nope I have a feeling they suspend all the codes during such sales, and tbh, had I gone for the Raptor shorts, they were within a couple of £ of the amount I paid for them with a 30% (Or was it 40%) discount code the other year, so difficult to grumble.
The two tone split jersey was also only £24, down from an alleged £80 I think it was, so......Felt F70 05 (Turbo)

I went for the Ascent Air 3.0 in blue to match the bike of course. Heard good things about the quality. Here's a code now the flash sale has ended "30-OFF-JUNE" 30% all summer collection.0 -
Ah the law of SOD!
The two ascent jerseys would have been £14 cheaper combined - just mailed them to see if they will refund the difference, otherwise will send them back and re-order, will still be a tenner up!
Having said that, the £80 jersey that was £24 in the sale, is allegedly still in the sale section, but back up at £80 - not sure how that works.
That does strike me as a bit daft though, lets have a 'sale' and then put the prices up immediately it has finished, but offer a discount code that makes some items cheaper.
Surely that it just going to generate a load of returns, and or refund requests - why not wait a month, or make the discount code very similar to that of the original sale prices.
Eg if the code was 25% off, the difference in price would only be £3 overall instead of £14 and I wouldn't bother.
I crafted an e-mail to them to ask the question, but the point was missed, and the reply came back to say that discounts codes are suspended during sales so it would not have worked, which wasn't what I was getting at in anyway shape or form.

I dont see the problem? You got it in the sale for £24. Now it is back up to £80 but there is a 30% discount making it £56. So you still got it alot cheaper.0 -

Just a quick update - did a 150 mile ride in them over the weekend and they felt great! Remained comfortable throughout, could happily have carried on (had my legs been up to it) and no pad-related issues the day after.0 -

Well the sale jersey is still allegedly in the sale section, but back up to full price, so just a mistake I guess, only one size and colour, so assume they want to shift them.
Anyway, they decided to refund me the £14 ( for the 2 jerseys that were £56 in the sale that I can now order for £49 each with the code) so no need to waste time returning and reordering for technicalities sake.Felt F70 05 (Turbo)

Ah - sorry, I thought you were complaining about not getting 30% off the sale jersey that was already reduced to £24.
Would have made sense if I had realised that the Ascent jersey you were talking about was cheaper now with the 30% off!
I didnt quite put two and two together...
Anyway, at least they saw you right in the end.0 -

Indeed, I think she is pretty much their entire customer service in the UK, I remain to be proved wrong, but she is the lady who kindly processed the refund for me.
As an aside, all 3 jerseys have arrived, and very nice they are too - tiny bit baggy under the arms, but otherwise a very nice fit, and feel like quality garments.
Not sure they feel like £80 items personally, but for the £24 and £49 I paid, am very happy with them.Felt F70 05 (Turbo)

That was pretty much my conclusion, decent jerseys but not exceptional. Not in the same league as Rapha and Cafe du Cycliste but then again a fair bit cheaper with the discount codes.0 -

I have a £50 pair of bib shorts, that it appears they no longer make.
Material on these is shinier than I personally like, but zero wrong with it, comfy straps, good leg grippers, and a top drawer pad.
Imho, other brands would sell it for between £80-£100.Felt F70 05 (Turbo)
