BTR, did you go for the navy and yellow in the end? I'm tempted at that price. How do they size up?0

Sorry BTR, the bib tights, I thought you were giving them a go. I'm a 34 waiste , short inside leg 29...0

Ah, not got round to it yet. I'd imagine large though. Possibly even medium. As long as there's no windproof material most bibs are quite stretchy. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

I'll cope though I'm not brave enough to wear the aeron speed jersey yet.
Really nice arm warmers as well. Windtex Storm Shield so, effectively, mini Mossa arm warmers. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Good news. Your kit reviews have been very useful when buying new items. Keen to hear how the new DHB stuff is.0 -

First impressions are excellent. I told the chap at Wiggle my chest size and waist size. He selected it based on that and my choice in relation to the Winter Aeron kit.
Every single item (and there are quite a few) is exactly as I'd pick it.
There are some lovely touches going on. The elastic on the Aeron speed shorts thigh area is just lovely but the straps deserve a mention. You can see both of those things below I hope
I think what Wiggle are doing so well is making opening a product a tactile experience. And that can only be a good thing. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Has anyone used the softshell Roubaix Gilet?
Thoughts?

A steal at that price. It's essentially the soft-shell without sleeves. Review of the range in my signature. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Yes I have the jacket and the gilet. Gilet is a great Spring/Autumn/Bizarelly warm winter piece of kit.
Its an all day gilet - too bulky to put in your pocket - but you could always unzip completely if it gets warm. I've worn mine a couple of times this winter with the DHB LS jersey and a base on underneath it. The orange is fantastically bright but only get it if you don't live round by me. :-)0 -
Good stuff.
Just wondering if Yellow jersey and yellow Gilet will be too screamy!
Does the black Gilet have any reflective bits?0 -
A few side bits and the dhb logo. The orange is better as the kit is black. The green kit is predominantly blueMy blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Thought I'd add my tuppence worth to this thread. Today I received both a pair of the new Aeron Speed bibs & the revamped version of the Aeron Pro bibs. Size mens medium in both.
For reference against the size charts, I am F5'10, seam 32", 33" waist & 36" hip. I Fluctuate between 65 - 75kg, depending on season, so I am bang on a medium. People would probably say I have climbers legs.
I should add I've worn neither on a ride as I am out injured right now with a knee injury, so take this as you find it!
I would say both shorts look the business & there has clearly been lots of thought & effort put in. The main differences are these...
The Aeron Speeds have a longer length in the leg over the Pros. This is actually quite annoying as it means that if worn normally they come too far down the thigh & are too close to the knee. If I wanted to wear them I would have to kind of have the lycra rumpled up, which it should never be! I can't go down a size, they would be too small.
The pad on the Speeds does feel thicker & designed for longer rides. The main difference is that it has a more substantial & longer central padded area, running between the sides. The side padding is less seperated than the Pros & offers more of a a wider padded area. It's a good pad.
The straps & abdominal area on the Speeds are more giving than the Pros, but that's not to say the Pros are poor in this area, I find the meshed material more stretchy. The straps are wide & comfy.
The lycra & overall fit of the Pros appear more hugging than the Speeds & feel tighter, but not so tight that they are uncomfortable. It's a nice fit.
The leg length on the Pros are regular.
So there you have it. I'm disappointed about the longer leg length of the Speeds, I find them just too long for me, buy otherwise I think they're cracking bibs. However, I think I will keep the Pros, send the Speeds back & order another pair of the Pros.
The colourways of the Speeds would have perfectly matched a couple of my jerseys, so I'm kind of gutted. Maybe I just have short legs!?
Either way, both bibs appear very good vfm, & will be a worthy purchase for anyone!
Apologies for the long read, hopefully this has been helpful!

Yep. Good pointo. You're right that they're longer. I'll try and measure at some point and let you know. On me they're still fine.My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Right. Very roughly. I'd say that the Assos Mille and Aeron (Pro) are similar length. The Speed are longer, probably like the Mille Long leg or Rapha Pro Team.My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

So they're totally waterproof, yet breathable? Bargain if they are.0 -
Yep. Obviously there's a seam on each side. But that shouldn't be an issue. The fleece is on one panel inside. I'll be doing a review of them this week. I've had the Nano flex ones and these DHB ones are bonkers for the price. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

DKay wrote:That's me getting some then. I've had the Sportful NoRain arm warmers and their water resistance is now non-existent after multiple wears and washes. Even after re-proofing, their water resistance is still very poor.
I'm going to clarify it tomorrow with Wiggle. The website claims water resistant. It may be because they won't claim water proof because of seams and, well, water finding its way in to the top. But they are clearly Windtex storm shield all over from my inspection of them and, in use, they've been spot on. So watch this space. Obviously they will be a bit less flexible so you may want a tight size. I have the large and reckon I could carry a medium off (in the lower arms). What's nice is that there are leg and knee warmers as well.My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Yeah, I was reading the description blurb too and it is a bit confusing. However, at the price, I'm not too concerned as long as they're water resistant to a decent degree and reading the reviews of the matching leg warmers, they seem pretty good in this regard. How long that lasts is another matter, but for £16 who's complaining? I'd normally wear a small in most stuff, but going off Wiggle's chart, I've ordered XS this time around.0
