I have the green Superfeet with the highest arch in every shoe now.

That's exactly what I ordered but not from Wiggle, 'cos they are out of stick

The superfeet green are designed for flat feet?

Not at all - my bike fitter tried lots on me and without a custom built insole, superfeet green gave the highest arch support (its not that obvious from the pictures online though):

The reviews are not conclusive as to whether the superfeet green are for flat or high arches (could work for both I suppose)
I nearly bought superfeet green for my normal shoes - flat feet issues:

That comfortable shoe guide is the most stupid, confusing thing I have read in a long time. All three of the low, medium and high volume versions are recommended for flat feet! If you read closely though, the black is for flat feet that dont require much arch support, the green are for flat feet that do require arch support - the same as someone who has high arches.

The review on Superfeet's website which makes it most obvious is:

"Walking 18 holes of golf was hard on my feet. With a high instep I regularly wore arch bands, but they were not enough to keep my feet from aching. Tried numerous expensive insoles including those purchased through my chiropractor's office, they helped but my feet would be burning at the end of the round and I could not walk the golf course two days in a row - until I found green superfeet. I am virtually pain free after a round of golf. Just ordered my second pair online. Did not realize it is better to be fitted, but I must have gotten lucky and just ordered within my shoe size."
  • The worst kind. A no score draw.

It's more jacket than jersey, as is the rage. Look beyond how it looks and use it for how it feels. It's seriously good, for me anyway.
Potenza update: OK, so now having ridden in it I can see the point of it. 9 degrees, stiff wind, wore with a Canterbury compression long sleeve base. No way you could say it is windproof (don't think it claims to be), and though I was cool the whole way round in a similar way to the Alpha jersey yesterday, this time there was this feeling of snugness , very nice indeed. Took a gilet just in case but didn't get around to putting it on. So, cool and comfy in the wind. Best bit was I was completely dry when I took it off afterwards.

Also had a rethink re: the long sleeves as well, after trying on the bike. I think the new cuff design has the arms extending right down to the wrist, with the petal-shaped wrap extended over the back of the hand and under the wrist, with a gap over the thumb. Difficult to describe, but works really well in use, and the arms didn't bunch halfway up the same as when I tried it on first time. Still wish I could have got a small though, the chest gapes ever so slightly on me when in the drops, though fairly taught when sat more upright on the tops or hoods, and is slightly longer in the body than I'd prefer.

    Nice....

EDIT: Small Potenza's in stock at Sigma Sport for £122, plus extra fiver off with code: EXTRA5

The Tiburu shorts are great, you can use them in all 4 seasons: on cool summer days as they are, with knee warmers in spring/autumn and with legwarmers in winter.

    For £90, an absolute bargain.
  • Yep. Been after them for weeks. Was about to pay full price. Will now search out some knee and leg warmers.....

I had physio on mine which made it worse, saw an Orthopaedic consultant and a Rheumatologist both were not sure what it was. There was a possibility that it was Mortons Neuropathy, however I didn't fit the profile as I wasn't female over weight and not a regular wearer of high heels. A MRI scan and an Ultra sound scan didn't reveal anything than some inflammation which wasn't anything you would expect to see. I had a Cortisone injection which eased it slightly. I tried different insoles which didn't help, I even tried riding without the Sidi insoles didn't help either.
So I bought the wider fitting Sidis and went up half a size. So far it's better and although I can still feel something and on a long hot ride I get some discomfort. I generally can live with it.
Is that any more help.

Is it the newest incarnation of the airjack 851?
  • Yes and no. Assos say that the Bonka never replaced the 851 or Fugu. But, there IS no replacement for either so logic dictates that it is.

Warmer than the 851. Perhaps not as warm as the Fugu (which I confess I've never tried).

There was an 851 which went on ebay last week (RED) for £80. I almost did it. But I don't like the original colours. If I come across the Green or Orange LE ones I'm so on it.

I wasn't actually referring to you, just the web page and in answer to your question; sorry - nope. :D

I think I will try my old Winter shoes on a long ride if the inserts don't alleviate it. I'll go from there. It's going to be summer next week, didn't I tell you?

The 851 is still available to buy new at the Assos factory outlet, one of the best jackets ever, even better if you're a Captain Scarlet fan 8)

I still regularly wear my 851, on dry winter days it is great.

I still think it looks good too.

Mentioned 7 Mesh before - looks like there really pushing the boat out with their latest product:

    http://www.7meshinc.com/7messages/product/oro-jacket/

Weighs less than 100g and is going up against the Castelli Idro and the Gore One.

I have just bought one of their water proofs - the re-gen, the fit off the bike is rather strange, tightish on the chest with loose fit behind the shoulders and on the lower back - although apparently this is normal as it is designed for the fit on the bike.

I holed those sorpasso bib tights this morning, 5 miles into 12 mile commute, front wheel went on oil/diesel. FFS! Right knee took it. Glad it did , because I would have face planted, pulled my upper lip back on the road luckily no proper damage. Any suggestions for a repair ( for the tights that is).....
  • I holed a pair almost exactly 2 year to the day. On the knee. How bad is it? I got the MIL to sew mine. Really hard to do but held together just fine for ages.

I think there is an issue with regards to putting colouration on the material without affecting performance. Obviously, paying such prices now is probably ridiculous, however todays halo product becomes more commonplace tomorrow. For example the Re-gen jacket I picked up today cost £60 - it has a Gore active shell, which is waterproof, lightweight and is very breathable.
The 7 mesh halo product last year was:
