Putting out over 50km/h in the third week of the TT after multi mountains, little team support, much solo grinding. Ok then.
Yeah, that Aru is not to be trusted...0 -

Bet the Clinic is entertaining right now!0 -
Aru 1' 53" down, should be pretty close on GC0

Great effort by Aru, fair play. That might have won him the race. It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0 -

How about Aru pulling time back in the final third - does that make more sense to you?0 -
Aru down by just 3 seconds, so it looks like it's all on Saturday's stage."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0

Doumulin should have 13" on Aru as I presume there's a 10" time bonus?0

Brilliant ride by Aru. Lots of guts. A very believable performance.
Bring on the mountains, still several stages to go. You can be sure Aru is going to put Tom D to the sword at any opportunity.
Pretty sure Aru can find the 3 secs Tom D now has on him. Leading up to an exciting finish.

No. NEVER have time bonuses with time trials."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

JRod at 1.13 on GC. He may well find that time to be honest.Contador is the Greatest0

Unless Dumoulin breaks, those finishes favour him.
Although, imo, Aru is much better on the longer steadier climbs than the normal, Vuelta cliffs.
So, maybe stage 20."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

Just the 3" then - Time to start laying Doumulin for the win. Aru has this as Tom has no-one to work with in the mountains.0 -
best GT this year imho, guessing to the end.
They surely won't race into Madrid?aztecboy0 -
Aru has to be favourite now. Although the bonus seconds will all be mopped up by breakaways.
Would have been better for the race if Tom D had 20 or 30 seconds instead of 3.It's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.0 -

Indeed. A nice glass of Uncle Vino's special recovery juice should see him through to the end.
Filthy team. Filthy riders.0 -
I'd love Dumoulin to take this. I'm afraid I'm ABA, really - Anyone But AstanaIt's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0

JRod needs a united Amarda - not likely though, is it?

Amazingly Aru lost virtually no time to Dumoulin in the final third of the trial.
The GC is still alive and Astana can be guaranteed to find the legs to give Big Tom's Giant Jumbo team a good kicking."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
Picking up speed, this race. After a crazy poor first week.0

It’s fair enough that your favorite rider is a doper and other of ‘your men’ are too but if you’re accusing Dumoulin (I think that’s what I read between the lines) that it seems a bit disingenuous and at the moment totally unfounded. If that's not the reason I really can't see what's not to like about the guy.0
