I can understand him being reluctant to drink a slightly yellow tinged liquid provided by a Frenchman
If you noticed he held it in the hand that was on the bars as he went over some cobbles and shook all the fizz out of it, flat Champers is pretty grim, not surprised he passed it back, 'thanks but you can have this one Dave'.0 -

George Osborne on podium ceremony. Now's the time for all the flob, p!ss and punches...0

Hahahahahahaha Cav nowhere! Brilliant.
Why cant so called cycle racing supporters on here not cheer the guys they like without feeling they have to denigrate other riders? Grow up.
What are you on about? I didn't diss Cav in that comment at all.
Which just goes to show how twisted you are. I wonder if you would say that to Cavs face?
If you got him a box to stand on I would.
No, actually you might be right, I did bottle it that time my mate dared me to tell Ronnie Corbett he wasn't funny.
Now that was funny, great comeback. [/quote
Yea, right. I might have to go to A and E I am laughing so much. W****r.
Damn, the Tour blues hit early this year.0 -
It was Devolder. He was okay.
I can see I'm going to have to start using emoticons!0 -

No need. Frank stole the "Zubeldia cloak of invisibility" this year. Or was it Cherel?0 -

Bloody hell, it must have taken you hours to find something you could praise Gesink with
In fairness, it's been a great result for him this year, and that's a really good reflection of his consistency and effort. It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0 -
Decent Tour for the Dutch GC riders TBF.0

LOL! I'm surprised Phil & Paul didn't pick up on that one. They did mention that Daniel Teklehaimanot was the first Eritrean to ride in the TdF and wear the polka dot jersey a few times though I think. Did you also know that Peter Sagan hasn't won a stage since 2013?0 -
Well done Froomedog - the second time a Kenyan has won the TdF.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0

Sagan only finished outside the top 5 on 2 non mountain, non TT stages this year.

I can't help but really like him. Not sure about the 'machine-gun' though, bit raw for some Parisians perhaps...It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0 -
Fingers crossed Cav doesn't win.
Why?
Everyone is free to want him to win, just as I'm free to want him not to.
I wasn't asking you to defend your position, just to explain it. Which you did.
I still find it odd, I just want the best man to win, whoever that is.0 -
My god, the machine gunning has absolutely done me!0 -

Grace us with your enviable sense of humour then. It's only a forum, if you didn't find it funny, then so what, why do you feel the need to strut?
What's inacurate about Froome being born in Kenya?
"Christopher "Chris" Froome (born 20 May 1985) is a Kenyan-born British professional road racing cyclist riding for UCI ProTeam Team Sky. He is seen as one of the most successful riders of the recent era.[4][5] Brought up in Kenya and South Africa, he has ridden since 2008 under a British licence on the basis of his passport and his father's and grandparents' country of birth.[6]
In 2007 Froome turned professional at the age of 22 with Team Konica Minolta. He moved to Europe to further his career, joining team Barloworld... "seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -

Sorry if I hit a nerve but the cheap, Kenyan jibe is getting a bit old don't you think?
The fact that you posted:
Well done Froomedog - the second time a Kenyan has won the TdF.
And
What's inacurate about Froome being born in Kenya?
Indicates to me that you don't understand the distinction between "born in Kenya" and "Kenyan".
Many people are born in foreign countries and yet are not naturalised to that country e.g. Bradley Wiggins and Boris Johnson for instance.
The fact that Froome has a British father, British grandparents, holds a British passport, raced for Britain in the last Olympics and actually wants to be British indicates but one thing, he's British! The fact that many xenophobic types who inhabit forums such as this like to claim he isn't British doesn't alter that fact. They're probably not even British themselves and are just using it as as way of trying to get at him or those who support him and celebrate his achievements.0
