Stage 21 - Sèvres - Grand Paris Seine Ouest / Paris Champs-É

Christ anyone tuning in today for the first time would never watch cycling again. To make it worse they run La Course before the main event so we can get a double dose of this rubbish. Yeah I know I'm not forced to watch it but having done 3 weeks I feel I have to.
They should allow subs and fly in the UK pro peleton for the final crit.0 -
Don't think Cav's going to win this one, but I hope he does.0

This thread's so dead I might as well talk to myself. Hey, look, all the traffic lights are stuck on yellow. Is that because of the yellow jersey? Two more laps to go, will this ever end? Kirby says it's getting tense. Is it?0

They've done the finish line. Froome has officially been declared winner, Sagan green jersey and so on.
Don't they still have to complete all the laps? If Froome fell off and really, really couldn't finish in the time limit he'd still lose - basically the same as the 3km mechanical rule, except a lot further out.
There ain't no time limit this year. They've nulled it. Froome is the winner already, even if he falls off.
I don't think that is correct. ADR82 posted the rules a few pages page. I have just found themb) Specific provisions
The race management and Stewards’ Committee
may have to take the following measures for the
finish of the 21st stage on the Champs-Élysées
in Paris:
• if the road surface of the Champs-Élysées
has become slippery before the riders reach
it, then the times may be taken for the first
crossing of the finish line;
• if the road surface of the Champs-Élysées
becomes slippery after the riders have already
begun racing on it, then the times may be
taken at the next crossing of the finishing line.
In both cases, the finish will be maintained.
In both cases, riders and sports managers
will be informed immediately. In any event,
riders must compete all of the circuits of the
Champs-Élysées to be ranked at the final finish.0 -
Come on Mark Cavendish make it 27!0 -

Come on Sagan!0 -
You are correct. But if Froome falls off, all he has to do is finish the stage no matter how long it takes.
Pointless point.0 -
Congrats Froome, now level with Alberto on Tour de France victories.0

Come on Sagan!
Sagan is Slovak royal family.

"At these speeds 10 seconds is not more than about 150 meters!"
As if the higher speeds make the distance closer... that's the seconds time I've heard that on ITV.- Genesis Croix de Fer

Quite rightly, Greipel wins it - he's been the best sprinter in this year's Tour by a distance.0

Chris Froome/Sky cross the line with style and class.
André Greipel very strong sprinter, great wins.0 -
Looked bad for the Trek rider there
One of the Ps said the it was Zubeldia but that he had now crossed the line. I do hope they were right and he is ok
I wonder if he was just tucking up to try and avoid being hit by the rest of the peleton - he looked so still it was worrying0 -
