Froome sure that Nibali did see him and attacked and says that it is unsportsmanlike to do that to the race leader.
I know the circumstances are different, but there's a certain irony in Froome moaning about the MJ being attacked on the road to La Toussuire!0 -

Why is Froome pissed at Nibali? They would have let him go anyway had he made a regular attack..?0

Nabali attacking on a problem!?
we seem to be overlooking that now :?
Astana were up front, but still he saw Froome stop and attacked.0 -
Looks like Nibali peaked 2 weeks too late this year.0

Well in fairness, a lot of French people haven't exactly covered themselves in glory in recent days.
Vayer, Sallet, Jalabert, urine throwing fans, punching fans, spitting fans. Bit of a rap sheet. It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0 -
Why is Froome pissed at Nibali? They would have let him go anyway had he made a regular attack..?
It caused a chain reaction with Valverde, Quintana, and Contador having to up the pace to go after Nibali, so Froome had to go full gas to join back up.
Nibali lying about it probably doesn't help either.0 -

For all his faults LA would have had more class.0 -
Lets call it as it is... if it's correct that Nibali says he didn't see the Froome mechanical then Nibali is a liar. Full stop.“You may think that; I couldn’t possibly comment!”

Millar and Boardman making out it was coincidence that Froome had a mechanical when Nibali attacked, even though they'd just shown the footage clearly showing Nibali looking around at Froome at least 3 times and attacking exactly as he stopped!0

Closest finish since 2011. Without the cross winds Quintana would need 58"....a rare 100% loyal Pro Race poster. A poster boy for the community.0

From the race I saw nobody attacked and Froome bridged 20 seconds later? Should they do a collective full stop?0 -

without the crosswinds froome would have taken an extra 2 minutes on Saint Pierre"Unfortunately these days a lot of people don’t understand the real quality of a bike" Ernesto Colnago0 -

Whatever about my thoughts on froome that was a bullshit move by Nibali0 -

Nibali looked backtwice to see froome messing with his caliper before he stopped, then as soon as he stopped he attacked.0 -

They hadn't chased down any of his attacks before, he was a long way down on GC and they didn't chase him down after his attack so mountains and mole hills spring to mind. I'm sure Froome was telling the Movistar riders not to capitalise on Contador the other day.0 -

Errr, it was a joke making reference to recent French media opinion of Froome.Correlation is not causation.0 -

I know.. Read my post above. Sky and Froome couldn't be more arsed about Nibali going away so why getting pissed at him?0 -

Possibly. No doubt Froome is a worthy winner whatever has happened. But I don't think it's been as one-sided as some think. If G had cracked earlier etc. Very small margins....a rare 100% loyal Pro Race poster. A poster boy for the community.0 -
So, basically.. You agree..
Me, yes. The BR forum not sure. I was supporting your point of view.0 -

Has Jalabert mentioned that Nairo just did the fast ascent there?..0

They are both talking garbage, it is clear to see Nibali knew Froome had a mechanical. Pisses me off when ex pros don't say it as it is, they add nothing to the commentary if they aren't honest when giving their insight etc.0 -

They didn't attack, but they increased the pace. That front group was split all over the road by it, with Froome having to go through them all.
No, no collective stopping. Just don't attack. I don't give any blame at all to Quintana, Valverde, or Contador.0 -

Couldn't watch this one so just finished reading the last 30 pages... disappointed but not surprised to see the incidents with the fans. Makes you wonder what AdH is going to be like tomorrow.0

Froome is a spoiled kid who knows nothing about races... a mechanical is his personal problem... if Nibali wants to attack, there is no rule preventing him from doing so.
When Contador took advantage of Schleck's mechanical in 2011, it was the best moment of that Tour and paid off (although then the antidoping decided differently).
Wins matter, moans don't. Besides, Froome hasn't lost the jersey to Nibali, so what's the problem?
