I was thinking it would be another perfect stage for Sagan to get in a breakaway but I thought he would be too tired after the last 2 days. Obviously not. The guy is super strong at the moment.
That takes into account the minute or so 'gained' on the final stage, i assume?
Yes, but on the other hand that was less than Froome gained in a time trial that we don't have this time.
Sure. I was just making sure I "got" the numbers.
My point was more about the positions than times. Quintana is a week three rider and I expect him to take back time.
Not only does Quintana seem to get stronger as a GT goes on, Froome got weaker as the race went on in 2013. It's definitely not over.
If you look at other GTs there is no real evidence of Froome getting weaker (Vuelta 2012 apart where he was clearly knackered); at Vuelta 2011, Tour 2012 and certainly Vuelta 2014 he seemed as strong if not stronger in week 3. I think the key thing here is context: Froome in 2013 had raced a lot in the run-up to the Tour, in those other cases (and indeed this year) not so much.
8 mins to the front group and the second group still hasn't caught them. EBH is in that second group and he is a real danger man if he makes it up there. He has Tekle there with him so I wouldn't be surprised to see him turn himself inside out on the climb for EBH if they still haven't caught them.
3 MTN in the break. EBH to exorcise his Thor demons? Breakaway with about a week in hand of a dawdling peloton. Froome on another training ride.
Alain Gallopin: "Beware of Voeckler"
The Trek Factory team director, who has two riders in the break, fears the experience of Thomas Voeckler in the leading group."In a break like this, you must be cunning and there's a cunning rider in this group, it's Thomas Voeckler," he told France Televisions."I have a young rider like Bob Jungels, who is strong but lacks a little experience. I'm trying to convince him to save energy. The secret is such a big break is to save energy. And that's what Voeckler knows how to do."
...a rare 100% loyal Pro Race poster. A poster boy for the community.
He was in the group of walking wounded with Cav yesterday and hasn't really looked in form from day one.
He hasn't looked even close to being on it, has he? I was wondering yesterday I'd they were keeping him fresh for the Alps a la porte, but obviously not.

Unless there's an echo.
The next group is at one minute.
Thanks.
Wey hey. Love this guy. The only cyclist who can win a stage while being second wheel across the line.

#TdF2015 Abandon Peter Kennaugh
I'm a MY MAN down!
Apparently so :-(

ATC - what's the deal with the BSE rider?
He's got mad cow!
No, I was having a sly joke regarding the size of his magnificent schnoz.
A bigger air intake than a Dyson. No one should complain if he rides closed-mouthed up mountains.

TV's detour was on Gap to Pinerolo (Stage 17 2011) wasn't it?

Yes. andyp kindly put me straight on that one.
I should've checked the thread and even guessed I would have been too late.

Waving the other guys through, ha!
Even wearing helmet and glasses he's always recognisable.
Could today be the day when Pierrick Fedrigo repeats his 2006 stage win into Gap?
