I'm now enjoying a week off. Turned on to see Bertie on bottle duty so I assume Tinkoff has decided to forget about yellow and put everything into a Sagan stage win and the green jersey
I hadn't seen that final km when I picked PTP for today, I knew it was uphill so went for Degenkolb but hadn't realised the gradient was so steep. Looks more of a Valverde / Kwiatowski stage but probably short enough and not that steep to stop Sagan taking it.0 -

Is Cav trying to help Greipel take green? He nearly took Sagan out and seems content taking points away from him rather than winning the intermediate sprint! Greipel back in virtual green by a point but likely to go back the other way at the finish.0

Well, I was mainly looking at it from the race point of view, but since you mention it the team competition, or rather the yellow helmets, is also unnecessary, so too perhaps is its sponsor. Nonetheless, I take your point that it provides some income.0 -

Interesting piece on INRNG about it and apparently the competition is quite popular with some team managers and also fits into other team sponsors ethics. Gives interesting potential insight as to why certain Movistar members rode like they did the other day too.0 -
