I want to believe, but I'm not sure I can.
I feel a bit the same way as you. I need to believe really though as if Sky are cheating it would call into question the entire GB track program and that would be such a huge scandal nationally that I'm not sure British Cycling would be able to cope.
its very simple
if sky are on the gear then its over.... I think it would hit cycling in general so hard.
everyone is going to be all over sky and froome if there is anything it'll come out... I can not believe brasilford would go anywhere down that road. people do talk about froome thou
that was exceptional
They talk about Froome because he's good. If it wasn't him it would just be somebody else winning. If Froome wasn't there today and Porte smashed Quintana earlier it would have been him being questioned.
I'd be massively surprised if Froome is on the gear, and the notion of some kind of Sky doping program doesn't even bear thinking about, it would pretty much end Pro cycling, end all the riders careers and be far bigger than the Armstrong scandal.
Let's just enjoy the performance, I absolutely loved watching that.
talk from within the bunch...... I too would be massively surprised. its too mad a thing to do ands I agree a sky program is the stuff of nightmares"If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. Do you think if Oleg and Vino come too close to each other on the top if that mountain they'll generate so much negative energy they'll suck the earth into a parallel dimension?

Chris Froome says"I’m at a loss for words. That was unbelievable. I couldn’t believe it when I asked the guys to push hard a little bit and we were hearing on the radio that the big names were getting dropped. It was textbook from the team, the guys rode such a good race. I’m over the moon to be able to finish it off for them."0 -

Umm, you mean like you have popped up? I thought I had you on block but appears there is someone else with a similar name.Contador is the Greatest0 -
I assume the Clinic has just exploded.
Shows how much the Giro took out of Contador really, you'd expect him to be a bit further up there, not outside the top 10 and another nearly 2 minutes back on Quintana on a climb like that.0 -
You kind of have to admire Froome for pouring petrol on the leaked power data fire...
Froome in the press conference:
Correlation is not causation.0 -
Fuglsang on Nibali: "I don't know what to say...It seems like he just gave up mentally..."
Totally - Fuglsang was turning around on his bike urging Nibali on with beckoning gestures like you would with a kid who has started lagging behind.
Contador looked post-Giro knackered - but where were any teammates to help him?0 -
It's the first MTF people. Let's not get too carried away. Sky could lose Lil' Pete down a ravine tomorrow and have Poels come in outside the time cut.
G only has 1s on Contador. No room for complacency....a rare 100% loyal Pro Race poster. A poster boy for the community.0 -

Not really, I post in most of the Pro race threads so maybe you did have me on block. Anyway, did you enjoy today?0 -
Adam Yates disappointed to lose 2 minutes but happy with 7th. Targeting a stage win.
Excellent ride by Yates, really pleased for him0 -
Brailsford has pretty much staked his whole career on being anti-doping. People will always raise an eyebrow with exceptional performances but as someone has mentioned that was excellent from Froome but magnified by the collapse of other GC contenders.0

well I hope the others make a race of it and don't give up. some sort of combine."If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. Would have the news of Ivan Basso yesterday taken the energy out of Contador a bit today?0

Disappointed that Quintana couldn't gain some time back today and make a race out of it but anyone who has been watching Froome in the last few days knew this was coming.
I will say that Froome basically did exactly this in 2013 before fading in the 3rd week. So you never know.
As for Contador, he bit off more than he can chew. A lot more.0 -

The raising of eyebrows and wailing and gnashing of teeth here is laughable. Its been obvious to a blind man all week the Nibs and Contador were not on the best of form this has been on the cards. TJ has a bit to go yet and Quintana finished round about a minute of Froome. Porte has had a good year so far has done little work all week no surprise there . G stepping up to the plate now and showing what he is cable of no real surprise there either.0

I'd have guessed the opposite if anything...We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

Of course he did, it was a day filled with stunning team tactics, individual panache and a beautiful MTF. What's not to like?*
*can you imagine how different his posts would have been if Tinkoff had been the team & Contador had been the rider? How does the old chant go "you only sing when you're winning!"Trail fun - Transition Bandit

Exactly. Quintana hasn't looked that great this year apart from one stage at TA, Contador has done the Giro and Nibali has been out the back on every climb all year.
The only real surprise for me was TJ not doing better after his performances in the Dauphine.0 -
Bit pîss poor by Contador, Uran and Nibali.
Contador making the excuse that he wasn't able to breathe very well. But to be fair he then said he did not feel well at all today and that it didn't go well, so it wasn't all excuses.
Today was more a story of bad performances than good really, Froome only taking a minute from Quintana which is good but not incredibly exceptional.

Agreed - well put. Surprised a little by the gap to Quintana but at least he was best of the rest. Valverde seems to be going well.0 -

Hee, the Clinic seems a bit confused because the pseudoscience climbing W calculations apparently "only" gave him 6.09w/kg (about 400W for 40 minutes or something). So just decrying it on the basis of Froome being faster than everyone else and therefore obviously doped.0

I think chris froome took the energy out of bertie today tbh"If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. Haha, he just can't help it, can he. 'Not able to breath'.. I get that symptom as well when I'm hammered..0 -
