Back in 2011 when I used to post on the Cycling News forum, I said that Thomas would one day be top ten in a Grand Tour - I said probably not the Tour. I got all sorts of abuse for that.

(At the time the likes of Monfort, Velits, Pinotti and Siutsou had been top ten)
