What about MTN?, the lad who got and kept the KOM jersey through till tomorrow! think he's been very canny, though their sprint team has rather underperformed.
It's been a good week for My Man Tekkers, but he's only got 4 points in the KOM. I expect him to lose it tomorrow, but try and get in the break on Wednesday.
They've done really well from a sponsor's perspective, been all over the news etc. and everyone's been talking about them.0 -
But seriously folks! That gives Contador 6.77 w/kg at FTP! Phwoar!"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Just watched the Dowsett interview after the stage, he doesn't sound happy does he, doesn't seem to have had good form for a while now and when he's struggling on a TTT he must be concerned.
Anyway, with the mountains coming up apart from the climbs are there any descents where a GC man might try and launch an ambush? Looking at the Pyrenees the Tourmalet descent looks well placed but I've never ridden it - looks steep on the profile. In the Alps the Col de la Morte descent is tricky but followed by a long drag up the valley so that probably rules it out, the Glandon to St Etienne de Cuines could be interesting though and if it was wet I reckon action on the descent would be pretty much guaranteed. Any others?[Castle Donington Ladies FC - going up in '22]0 -

He's carrying an injury complicated by his haemophilia
Mentioned on one interview going back to the hospital to have the wound reopened, cleaned and restitched.
Hope someone took him and Nico for a pint last night.“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0 -

Looked like it could have been in a seriously awkward place for resting on tri-bars too.Team My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy0 -

Right hadn't heard that, he did look very down, hopefully just immediate post stage disappointment but it came across as a deeper dissatisfaction.[Castle Donington Ladies FC - going up in '22]0 -

There seem to be an unusual number of mountain top finishes to come. I think we could see one rider (Froome perhaps) winning easily.0

Presumably not in the traditional Tour De France rest day manner."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

I noticed la femme d'ardoise, Claire Pedrono was doing pushing off duties yesterday instead of riding around on the back of her motorbike.
I've also seen Mrs Gallopin kissing an awful lot of boys the last week, naughty naughty.BASI Nordic Ski Instructor

Basso has just told the press he has testicular cancer and will leave the Tour today.
I wish him well.0 -

Seems he's had pain in his testicles since a crash on stage 5, team doc examined him this morning, found a lump, took him hospital for a scan and this is the diagnosis.
Let's hope they've caught it early.0 -
Wow that is unexpectedly bad news.

Basso went for scan today. Pain in testicle flared up after crash on stage 5. Contador, sitting next to him, is in tears.

Poor Basso - but I hope they have caught it early enough. It seems he banged himself in the nether regions falling on stage 5 but the pain refused to go away so the team made a call on a urologist in Pau who CAT-scanned and noticed the tumour cells.0

“It’s a very tough blow to the whole team, we never imagined a day like this,” Contador said. “Ivan and I have spent 120 of the past 180 days together. I’m sure we’ll be together to celebrate in Paris.”
