Didn't sky bring their own Rapha yellow skinsuit for Wiggins when he won?"Unfortunately these days a lot of people don’t understand the real quality of a bike" Ernesto Colnago0

Are we completely finished with tie bonuses now?
Thanks. Froome better get his sharp kit out.Seconds up for grabs
They had disappeared since 2008. Bonus seconds will again be awarded at the finishes of the 2nd to the 8th stage. The bonuses will be of 10, 6 and 4 seconds for the first three of each of these stages.

Sky's kit supplier was Adidas back in 2012 rather than Rapha, but he definitely had to wear the official yellow skinsuit, vaguely recall there was talk of trying to lose yellow before the TT so he could use the Sky suit as it was deemed to be beneficial.0 -
In the TTT are the riders who get dropped given the same time as the first five that finish ahead of them,
or, are they given their own individual times?0 -
Can't believe Sky placed so highly given the squad they have compared to the others.
Looking forward to the mountains now and hope Froome's ultra high cadence and super rested body doesn't walk away with it.
Because he has hardly raced this year. 20 something days compared to Quintana and Nibali's 30 something compared to Contador's 40 something.
Easy life for some.
You're right of course. Riding a Grand Tour is an easy life.Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.0 -

I was going to say that nobody forced contador to ride the Giro, but that's probably not true..."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Worst kept secret since Cav to Sky in 2011?
Fair enough really. We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

Sky's bikes have been taken for testing - they went back to the hotel in the Broom Wagon

Sky's bikes tested for motors tonight. Guess we'll know in the next few hours whether they rode the TTT on Kawasakis.

not looking good for contador is it... sliding a bit"If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. What we're witnessing here is the world's most high profile mid-life crisis" Afx237vi Mon Jul 20, 2009 2:43 pm0

Okgo is on block so I didnt see this.
My figures are correct but dont include the TDF race days. Just sub 9. Froome had a paltry 27 race days at the start. Contador had 44, Nibali 37 and Quintana 34.Contador is the Greatest0 -
Froome has been ill though. Not "resting".
No need for this early harvest of sour grapes. Have some faith in your man.0 -

How has Quintana done 3 more days than Nibali since the start of the Tour?0 -
That was fun.
Very unsporting of Froome not to tire himself out while Alberto was riding the Giro.0 -

Froome has reiterated today about Lady Garden being his biggest rival. Think that is anything to do with Nibs' and Quintana's views before the race began. Or is that what he believes after seeing them all in the first 9 stages?0 -
I'm still hoping Quintana can win this in the mountains but I can't see how anyone could take back the best part of 2 minutes when Froome is in this kind of shape.
We don't know if Froome's climbing has improved since the Dauphiné where he struggled to beat TJ.
Yes, yes we do.

He said "Right now".
I think it's just proper respect to accord Lady Garden, who pushed him hard in the Dauphine and who is only a few seconds back. Come Wednesday it might all look very different.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0 -

Yes, yes we do.
How?
By knowing that he's a bloody phenomenal climber when in form and extrapolating from the incredible form he's shown, including on the few short ramps we've seen, in the first week?
I'm fairly convinced by him at any rate. He's looking very, very strong.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0
