After yesterday I'm making no predictions on the weather...

Pinot and Bardet both as good as three minutes down already .0
-
G doing a good impression of Sky's plan B, particularly given how Richie appeared to cruise in over the last couple of days.
Looking ahead, do we have a weather forecast for the cobbles tomorrow?0 -
This was the Mur climbed in a completely different way from how it's climbed in April during Fleche - much earlier flat out with much bigger time gapsTwitter: @RichN950

Pinot and Bardet both as good as three minutes down already .
I was tipping him for a good tour given his complete lack of TT ability and all the uphill finishes. Also the possibility of using Kittel's train to keep out of trouble on the flat days.
Still reckon Pinot will be the best French GC Rider of His Generation though.Team My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy0 -
Lemond considers what happened to Contador today as "significant" Used the words "looked fragile"."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0

What does Lemond know? Look what he had to say about Arms...........................................Coach H. (Dont ask me for training advice - 'It's not about the bike')0 -
That was an exciting finish! It's great when Froome goes into monster mode, thought he might get the win for a bit.
Commandeered the TV in the kitchen at work for the last 20km after I got fed up with ITV player freezing. My boss didn't seem to mind...Blazing Saddles wrote:Lemond considers what happened to Contador today as "significant" Used the words "looked fragile".

Contador is a slippery chap though. You can't write him off that quickly.0 -
Wrong people are losing time for a good race.
We want Nibs & Pinot to do well and Froome & Contador to have to make up time, not the other way around.0 -

More likely today that there no Plan B, but with no "final 3km" rule for mechanical/punctures today, Froome would actually be able to ride his bike0 -

They'll be slaughtering some special cows in Spain at the moment.Trail fun - Transition Bandit

Yes, want it to be a four/five way shoot out. Early days yet though. Froome/Contador may risk less tomorrow.

I was thinking Plan B for the race, not stage, but fair point about mechanicals etc.0 -

He won't win it because he tried to go for it with a valiant, ambitious, but ultimately ill-timed attack that he refuses to back out of...0

Vuillermoz was my pick for today ...nearly . He had a very poor tt otherwise would be setting himself up well for the second week0

I left work just in time to miss all the action today. Solid work"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

I don't think we should give it credit for working exactly as it's supposed to.0 -
Just got back from work and seen the finish. Class from J Rod. Rolling back the years.
As expected not a massive amount between the favourites on a finish like that. Apart from Pinot.0
