Quintana is preparing a Pantani tribute act, aims to lose 4 minutes before the Pyrenees"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

I guess that bubble wrapped yellow Trek bike will get an outing in the next few days.Contador is the Greatest0

I'd put money on it that this will either come back together or at least have a gap no bigger than 20seconds. Peloton is big enough now to chase effectively
The front group has two previous winners and the two best sprinters in the tour, all with team members. They'll stay away and keep the gap pretty large.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0 -
The virtual standings would put Quintana in 69th place +2'02""The Prince of Wales is now the King of France" - Calton Kirby0

Be an interesting sprint for 19th between him and Martin"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Oh yes, my man Barguil in the front group!Contador is the Greatest0

Great stage.
Quintana looking like he'd rather be anywhere else but on the bike.
Now shoot me down if I'm wrong but we all know that you have to be in the first 20/30 riders of the peloton to stay safe. And it's even more important during the first few days. We are always told his so why do riders still get caught out by this?
But these are meant to be the best riders in the world. You shouldn't be switching off, they have radios and team mates to keep them up the front. Surely you'd want to put the effort in to make sure you stay there or like we see today you can easily lose a lot of time.
Hmmm true. I always just look at a team like quick step and I can't remember the last time they're caught out by cross winds. In fact they're normally the ones driving it in the wind. They know you have to be at the front and they drill it and fight to stay there. Just seems strange how one team always seem to do it right and others can't.***** Pro Tour Pundit Champion 2020, 2018, 2017 & 2011 *****0 -

Exactly, everybody in that group has a reason to ride (bar the one guy from Garmin who must be wondering what the hell happened)"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

In fact, it's packed with quality all the way through, and pretty much everyone in it has a huge reason to ride.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0 -

That front group is splittable. I'd be keeping a close eye on Tony Martin.
Hmm - Martin goes into Yellow if the group stays ahead and stays together; he won't split it. However Fab Cancellara only needs one second over Tony Martin - he might be tempted0 -

IF he places in the sprint the time bonus will be enough? Should be Cav vs Griepel for the win, but 3rd place is open....0 -

Its a bit easier when the bulk of your team are 80kg Belgians who grew up chewing the wind, with a guy in the car who used to be an 80kg Belgian who grew up chewing the wind."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

I just tuned in, I thought this would be a boring sprint stage where you fast forward the first 150km. My Spidey Echelon sense must have been working today. This looks interesting!0
