The PTP suggests a sprinters day tomorrow. This is just a reminder of how the points for the stage will be allocated. Source The Inner Ring -
Flat stages / Coefficient 1: 50-30-20-18-16-14-12-10-8-7-6-5-4-3 and 2 points for the first 15 riders to finish
Intermediate sprints: 20-17-15-13-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 points respectively for the first 15 riders.
So unless there is a significant breakaway, I would expect the maillot vert favourites to go for the points on offer in Rotterdam.0 -
The wonderful country of Ned has been able to offer up that amazing profile for stage 2 of the biggest race of the World.
I guess the only thing that can salvage this is if they ride through flower fields so we get some stunning photos plus a win by Cavendish.

Sadly it's not going through the bulb fields and it's not the right time of year but I bl**dy love the Deltawerken and the Oosterscheldekering is a sight to behold.

Weather's weird; forecasts say very little wind most of the day but during the local thunderstorms gusts of up to 100 km/h. Would mean more short moments if chaos and crashes in the peloton, rather than a sustained afternoon of echelons0

I will be mostly on the sun lounger today but will keep an eye on this thread to see if there is any weather related drama. Other than that it will be a dash back to the room for the last 10km.0

I thought a beer from Brouwerij De Molen might be appropriate as Bodegraven is not too far away. The only one I have in the store is a Rasputin Imperial Stout, weighing in at a cheeky 10.4%. Might be a bit heavy, but the BB date is about 23 years hence, so it won't go off.Ecrasez l’infame0

Trying not to pee on the parade but in the hague it's clouded over by very high clouds with a light breeze (by dutch standards) and - typical british summer comment - is rather pleasant after the heat of the last week.
Time for a gentle spin down to Gouda...We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

I'm probably being unfair. But I always remember getting off the ferry in the weeing rain and the radio on my Dad's Renault 21 dying as we went over a bridge, never to work again. The only tapes in the car were my mum's Chris De Burgh greatest hits and Huey Lewis albums.
