    Ouch. Something about Specsavers.

Mind you, I don't approve of the spelling of vandalise with a Z.
Two spelling mistakes in 6 words. Must be a staunch Corbyn supporter. Maybe she also costs up his election promises?
There is an I between the TOR and the ES, Stevo, and vandalize is more of a style guide choice. With such rich and pickings, you can do better than two spelling mistakes that aren't spelling mistakes. ;)

Interestingly, if you start typing the word Tories into Google, the first auto-complete suggestion is dementia tax. Oops.
I see you've been looking very closely. I might let her off with not being able to write clearly. Blloody Tory education cuts eh

Yes, very poor lettering and layout. I assume you picked that up from the Times. I did like the headline describing all those little old ladies as a hard left mob.

    Why am I doing this?

What about on the one behind the (other) beardy bloke? They look identical but I'm struggling to see an 'I' on that one. It looks like they got it wrong first time and added it afterwards. Unlike Abbott they appear to have corrected the mistake at the second attempt though.

Nope, haven't read the Times. Just my own observations.

If Labour can even fund some decent election placards I don't hold out much hope for their plans for the country :)

Hmm. Suspiciously similar yet some subtle differences. An extra "THE" on the right hand version. It's almost as though someone had a load of "VANDALIZE THE NHS" posters and then the "DON'T LET THE TORIES" bit was written on a separate piece of paper and stuck over the top.

The benefits "scroungers" want something for nothing.
Those higher earners seem to want public services whilst having tax cuts.
NO, you only get good public service if you pay for it.
May talks about our great services in the wake of the Manchester bombing whilst all she and her government ever do is cut security services budget.

Could the placards once have been more forceful but some Labour lawyer said it was legally risky. Perhaps something stating it as a fact. "Tories vandalize our NHS" originally. They just hand stuck the "Don't let the Tories" on a piece of paper stuck over the top. It does look like that bit is stuck on.

Reused placards! Very cost efficient and environmentally friendly. Just like they're recycling '70/'80s policies. Could be the greenest Labour campaign yet! Now all they have to do is dig out there print overruns of Foot's campaign literature, substituting his photo with Corbyn's and you're there!

The choice is between the conservatives and a bunch of hard line lefties.

There's a good reason why the opinion polls are the way they are. You'd have thought that Labour might remember what happened when they went down a very similar route in the 80's, but they don't seem to learn. We're not a socialist country at heart.

Only the images of the MPs or leader at the time. Would be embarrassing for activists who weren't even born then being asked who's the old man in a scruffy coat on the recycled leaflet. They might answer with Corbyn instead of Foot!

The number of seats they will end up with in parliament will probably be quite similar. Which is probably linked to how left wing they are.

One poll puts Tory lead down to 5% thats close to margin of error

People are starting to see through May, strong an stable she is not and the manifesto (and her handling) is proving to be a disaster.

Just as the brexit vote proved, folk want change and May is promising exactly what we ve always had.

Odds on a tory win but events dear boy events!

... so polls are showing the gap closing.

Apart from the unreliability of polls - I very much doubt the gap is as small as some polls are saying - there is a message here: and I would say that it is chiefly about the sheer uselessness of May's campaign. And, I suppose, the Tories' offering - there's not a lot in it for remain-voting free-marketeers like me.
Not to mention the depressing reinforcement of the fact that a huge number of otherwise intelligent people can't resist the two fundamentals of Labour's message:
    1. Never mind evidence or logic, Tories are just evil, OK?
    2. Free lunch for everybody! Yippeee!

I think for a lot of otherwise educated people. It's not so much that tories are evil, it's a general feeling that they are not doing a good job. In spite of years of semi austerity, they haven't really seemed to gain a handle on the deficit...additionally, the pain that was first forecast when some of the cuts is starting to show. For example, increasing prison riots and a seemingly general crisis within the NHS.

Add to that, some bizzare policy decisions, like a 24/7 NHS (having had an ill relative recently, I can confirm that it's already open 24/7 and even including christmas and bank holidays!), capping energy bills, not to mention brexit...

They aren't going to go down well in history are they?

Tories typically outperform the polls, & Labour under, so worth baring in mind.

Tories have had a shocker, campaign wise, but then the polls could hardly have widened much more - we should have expected this.

i believe Stevo is PAYE so it's limited and i suspect he has already exploited any evasi... sorry avoidance schemes lol!

i also have faith that stevo realises that tax pays for important public services, such as those involved in the MAnchester bombing, so will be more than happy to pay a small amount extra.
