I don't get it.
Anyway, the average speed for the first hour of racing was 47.7kph.
After two hours of racing, the average speed was still 44kph.
Kwaitkowski in the break with Domont, Impey, and Dillier. 2mins with 55K to go0 -
Thom Thom and Fuglsang are both Danish... Fuglsang was tipped to do much better than he is.
As an aside, Fuglsang obviously didn't get the same preparation that Landa/Aru etc are allegedly on... but that's not part of the narrative so let's not talk about it.0 -
39s for the four. 26km remains0

Nothing to do with Jakob's position, though. I'm not going to call a race dead or alive because a certain rider doing good or bad.
I'm calling this race terrible because the route is as dull as it could possibly be. BS covered well a couple of days ago.Blazing Saddles wrote:Foul weather, slowest schedule, nothing happening.0 -
Last 200m was good.
Kristoff just held off Sagan, but Sagan looked good.0 -
everyone else gone home?0

Kristoff wins but only because Sagan was seriously boxed in by some amateurs in a tiny finish straight.
Sagan made up serious ground on Kristoff in the last 200m. He is going to be going so well in the Tour.
Cavendish nowhere.Contador is the Greatest0 -
Cav appears not interested in this race. Maybe just getting some pre-Tour miles in
Or maybe he's finished0 -
More slight changes on GC due to a peloton split
Thomas, Dumoulin and Pozzovivo gain 5 seconds on Pinot, Spilak and Fuglsang
Again?! Didn't the same thing happen yesterday?0 -

Think as cav gets older he's just playing it safe before the tour and sandbagging a biteating parmos since 1981

Also, he is simply just not as fast as 5 years ago..
Which is fair enough.0 -
Not the sort of finish you'd expect Cav to do well on though was it? Kristoff appeared to have a Cavendish-esque 2nd kick at the end there, didn't notice Sagan get boxed but Demare certainly did though it was his fault for starting the sprint so far back.0

Was thinking this - he's just getting the miles in and doesn't want to get in the mix until the tour.
Couldn't work out what happened yesterday, as someone else said Renshaw should gave gone for it.
He's always preferred 20th than 2nd, once he was detached he didn't bother.
Either that or he's finished....0 -

Agreed on the profile been looking at them and don't think any suit cav that well, if anything think he's placing better than I would of thought. Sagan winning sprints with cav only a few seconds back is a good sign for the green jersey race (Sagan not noted for taking pure sprint stages).eating parmos since 1981

The gaps in GC these last two stages - are they the result of an actual split or just someone letting a gap open up to the rider in front?Team My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy0

It's just losing the wheel. The pace is so high going into the final few sharp turns, someone loses the wheel and you end up 5 seconds down.0 -

Yeah, that's what I was hoping to hear. Clumsy from my man peanut, but was worried he might have been the wrong side of actual splits which seems worse to my mind for some reason.Team My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy0 -
Lutsenko drags Bakelants out of the breakaway, does all the work to hold them off and then wins the sprint.
Totally incompetent Swiss director completely ignores the GC battle going on behind.
Seeing that Geraint finished behind Sagan and 3 seconds up on Pinot, safe to say that Sky missed the bonus seconds boat today."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

Peanut to lose the GC by 12 seconds...
He'd be a great addition to the genuine contenders list.In the five time trials he has done this season, the FDJ captain hasn’t been out of top20. Naturally, the big goal is to reach peak condition for the Tour de France next month. However, Tour de Suisse isn’t just a warm-up race for Pinot. He is here to win overall and the difficult course definitely suits him....a rare 100% loyal Pro Race poster. A poster boy for the community.0
