Mostly pinched from shazzz to get the spoiler thread going ...

Apologies for the horror of the profiles! It looks like an 11yr old has been let loose with Numbers3D
Another downside is that there is no sign of any GB coverage, happy to be proved wrong though, maybe Eurosport will take it up following the Dauphiné?

Fuglsang isinitowinit
Was about to make a bet on him but the bookies must have heard the same as I have. Ridiculously low odds for a guy who's never won anyting major.0 -
Can't wait to see them go up that climb. Must be the hardest in pro cycling?0 -

Cyclingquotes labelled it the hardest summit finish of any World Tour race this year. That seems a fair enough claim. Surely Zoncolan, Angliru and Mortirolo are slightly harder though?0 -

13.8kms at 10.8% average, (Mortirolo 11.9kms at 10.9% Angliru 12.2 kms at 10.1%, Zoncolan 10.1kms at 11.9%) but the summit is 1000 metres above those three.

Ouch that is a beast of a climb.Contador is the Greatest0
-
Group of about ten including race leader 4km from finis . Thomas in group for Sky, making attacks both on climb and descen . Fuglsang also looking stron . 27" to pursuers0

Duracell wins it as Astana get another fail (unless their tactic was just to stop Geraint winning). G's final attack wasn't timed very well and made it fairly easy for Dumoulain to close down. Peloton smashed all over the place.0

Those who picked Kwiatkowski for PTP GC will have been happy to see him freewheel in 10 minutes down on a stage that should have suited him.0

I've got a feeling that Pinot is going to destroy them on the Rettenbachferner.0

that was flippin mental - very enjoyable afternoon0

Excellent dessert to the Dauphine main course.
Geraint looking very strong as does Birdsong; flying come Le Tour no doubt.
Such tight marking of every attack until Duresk simply slips off the front, insight of the line.
Funny really."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
Arredondo. Am happy.
Didn't realize Pozzo was able to ride again - great to see him.
My man Chaves well up there.
Surprisingly good climb and descent actually. Some aggression been shown. Tom did a super job there.Contador is the Greatest0 -
Few years ago, the Dauphine's lustre was on the wane.
This year's TdS is basically the 'give you top domestique a go to win something to stop him whining' race.0 -
Also, put 2015 Tom Dumolin on the 2012 Tour de France route and you've got a top 10, possibly top 5 rider.0

I noticed but don't worry he'll be nowhere near the top of the big climb (nor will Thomas). I went for Henao, I have no idea where he is on GC at the moment!0 -

He'd have lost minutes to the Sky train on every major climb!0 -

What, all 5 of them?
Like I said, top 10.0 -

depends how many other riders you randomly teleported into 2012 - he might not even make the startlist
any racing on today?0 -

Should be live in 20 minutes

Today's break of three consits of Denifl (IAM), Marcato (Wanty) and Samoilau (CCC Sprandi). Gap to chasers 4'23" with around 30km to go. Saxo on the front of the peleton for Sagan, so the gap is coming down quickly.0

Live but commentary-less on Eurosport Player.0
-
Svein Tuft comes to the front and reduces the gap by 1', now 2'03" with 20km to go.0
-
Just under 5km to go and there is a select group of around 20 riders left to compete for the stage win. Albasini sets off for another attack, but doesn't gain much ground. Sagan still in the group.0
