Congratulations Froome, nice win that was even if he should have gone earlier and a strong display.
TJ impressing a lot and still relatively young at 26.
Meintjes great work at 3rd @ 42 secs.
Nibali massively disappointing. No passion either to try and hang in there.Contador is the Greatest0 -

Find it hard to believe that Froome's style is anything other than inefficient.“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0 -
Good old ding dong this race has been. I expect the Tour to be similar. Through in Quintana and Contador and there are going to be some real fireworks.Contador is the Greatest0

Tell you what. This Sky team has taken a bit of criticism this week but that was a properly good team performance.0

Deservedly so, they nearly allowed Froome to lose the race yesterday. They were lucky that a Tour de France winner couldn't hack it today.Contador is the Greatest0 -

it seems even more evident this year that sky fills it's team with cycling athletes rather than cyclists. similar to american golf coaches teaching swing mechanics instead of golf."Unfortunately these days a lot of people don’t understand the real quality of a bike" Ernesto Colnago0 -
Glad Yates managed to hang on and Movistar have good strength there.Contador is the Greatest0 -
Another very, very enjoyable stage.
Turning out to be the best stage race of the year.
Nicely set up for tomorrow.
In effect, Froome needs his team to hold the break, then take at least 14 seconds out of TJ again.
There's a km out tough gradient, just where it counts.
On the other hand, it's hard to forget what happened in last year's final stage.
The roads don't favour a repeat, however."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

I read an interview on the gazzetta site yesterday... between the lines he made it quite clear he can't care less for the Dauphine'... it's a shame, but it's modern cycling, Armstrong docetleft the forum March 20230 -

Well, almost.

To be honest, I'd rather he simply wasn't trying than the alternative explanation for his swings in form.0 -
Good old ding dong this race has been. I expect the Tour to be similar.
The shifting positions in the top 5 has really added to this race, as has seeing most of them having off and on days. Trouble with most GTs is that the dominant rider emerges early and it all starts to look inevitable too early. Domination by one rider or team isn't great viewing for most.0
