4 of my men in the top 6 on a proper racers stage.
Still two mountain stages to go.Contador is the Greatest0 -

So does anyone know how that break formed or were allowed to get 3 minutes? Just the other teams not strong enough?0

Millar's explanation was that they slipped away in the chaos of the early 19man break that Sky missed. By the time Sky had gained some control, a group of leaders had a gap, were prepared to ride, and too strong for domestiques to bring back....a rare 100% loyal Pro Race poster. Excellent win by Costa, preventing squeaky-clean Astana from taking the stage. Dan Martin is ticking along nicely too.

This was taken yesterday when Froomey came onto the grass on the descent. Someone mentioned it earlier in the thread.
Tomorrow should be another corker.0 -

Behind them the peloton fracture and there was chase group comprising most of the leaders on their own - so no-one lead the pursuit.Twitter: @RichN950 -

BR member cc78's back garden. The Croix Fry is good climb, then a wee kick up the Aravis. The descent down the back is definitely 'technical'. Can't wait!0 -
Nibali escapes the peloton around10:45:44 GMT
After a valiant effort, Martin has been brought back by the peloton. He's been replaced by Vincenzo Nibali who has now gone on the attack.
With 115km to ride.
115! WOW, double the initial point I saw him attack. What a monster racer.Contador is the Greatest0 -
A descent was the decisive factor in both of the last two stages....a rare 100% loyal Pro Race poster. A poster boy for the community.0

Pretty cool by his Nibs to sit up yesterday and think 'you know what I'll sort this out tomorrow'0
-
Wonder if SKY will try something on a (wet?) descent tomorrow only for it to be too little, too late.0

Tomorrow's stage will see multi minute gaps. 30 secs is nothing. Still all to race for.Contador is the Greatest0

He's mister unflappable. He'll come tumbling down a mountain on his chin and you wouldn't know it 3 mins later by the way he rides.
Seems unfazed by more or less everything that gets put in front of him.0
