Landa could have won this Giro wihout Aru. That's for sure.

    Lets not get too silly.

Twice the climber that Alberto is.

Oh please, Contador would take out Landa 8/10 days.

He' still to beat him once.. Let's not get too silly..

A really exciting finale to the #Giro. @LeopoldKonig and @NieveMikel are in a group 1' 30" back on the leaders as they hit the final climb!

So much for a double GT win. Not going to happen. At all.

I hope Landa is having a go at his SD after this. The stupidity is incredible.

Stage 18 he was faster and he was solo vs Landa who had the cars and other riders.

Stage 16 he was almost a minute faster than Landa on the Mortirolo.

    Stage 5 he dropped Landa.

Julich: I have to agree with the tactics from Astana and work together on the final climb. They have a big deficit to make up and this seems like the best way to do it.

Abysmal from Team Tinkoff. Contador was isolated so often.

He has ridden pretty much every single mountain by himself vs 5-7 Astana.

Jesus.. Astana told Landa to let go of the only chance to shake Contador off to get Aru a stage win, a stage they would have won anyway with... Landa..

Landa needs to find a new team.

So so pleased my man saves his 2nd place from that sneaky Landa.

Great rider, great two wins. Three week champion.

    Congratulations.

Le problème dans le Finestre pour Contador c'est de ne pas pouvoir exploiter 100% de sa top technique en danseuse #VeloExtra

(Contador's problem was his inability to ride out the saddle)

Another great display of Aru's "recuperative" powers. No joy in that win.

Great rides from Ryder and Uran.

Not a fan of Bertrand but fair play and, most importantly, he made sure Astana didn't win the GC!

    CONGRATULATIONS CONTADOR

3rd Giro GC, 9th GT win

Very disappointed he had to bonk badly there but just look at the way he rode the entire last 30km solo and still limited his losses to 2mins. That is total pro riding. Experience not to bin it on the descent or ride too hard and blow completely.

Now Tinkoff has to ensure he has a proper team at the Tour to support Contador.

What you can say is that you need to take the time when you can, always. You never know when you will lose time.

Vino gives a hug to Aru, Oleg gives a hug to Contador.

Great stage, it's a real shame things hadn't been a minute or two closer at the start of the stage. Not often you see Contador dropped like that but I have a feeling after losing the initial 30 seconds or so he just used his experience and just kept it under control. A less experienced rider might have gone into the red and lost more time.

Remarkable recovery from Aru who looked finished a few days ago.
