Aru having a bad day - proof he'll never win a GT?

Aru passed by Ryder now. It looked like Ryder tried to give him a hand but he couldn't hold the wheel. Aru is out of second, me thinks.

    DD.

Quite the opposite. Ryder looked back and accelerated to create a gap. Nothing having Aru at all.

    Situation on the road:
37km to race, Kruijswijk, Contador and Landa are at the head of affairs, Trofimov is somewhere behind then Ryder who is closing on him then Aru then just everyone else surviving as best they can.

Hesjedal just rode away from Aru... not good for the Sardinian considering theres 30+ kms left to race.

Four screens needed to cover top 6 in the stage. 37km.

He is 24 years old and 2nd in GC.

2014 Giro d'Italia. He was 3rd on GC. 2014 Vuelta he was 5th on GC.

He is a natural GT talent.

Aru's on a bad day too.

Trofimov looks like he's struggling to hold Hesjedal. Hesjedal giving it a lot but not really bringing the gap down.

Astana did burn a lot of matches in the run up to and initial part of the Mortirolo though.

If Aru goes for it on the descent, he might just get back on.

They just don't have climbs like this in France. The circus couldn't go up them anyway.

Contador not taken a turn yet. Kruij pulling very well. 35km, 47 secs to Hesjedal and Trofimov and 1.19 to Aru.

35km. Kruisjwijk, Contador Landa, +50" Trofimov Ryder, 1'22" Aru

Contador and Landa wheelsucking K all the way. Better not jump him.

I care... Any allegation of that nature should be considered and understood.

Only way forward for the sport.

    Snowing a little bit!

Hope Hesjedal gets back on, he's done really well to hold it. Trofimov looks baked.

That'll suit Ryder. It is hard to see beyond Contador for the stage win but you never know. Special K or Ryder deserve it too.
