Several groups getting back together, 1'30 and falling fast from front group so approx 8 from peloton.

Three groups with the 2nd group between a minute and two behind. No one really dangerous for GC.

2nd group 30 secs behind. QS working with Tinkoff, still at 10mins.

First sighting of the bottle vest for this year - not a bad idea.

Front group starting to cruise a bit, needs a new breakaway.

    Edit: And here we go...

I thought Cataldo had moved to Astana?

OGE riding well, getting people in the break every day to ensure they keep the pink jersey if it doesn't get pulled back.

Why are Tinkoff more scared of Kreuziger than the other teams?

Boonen riding at the front too, in what looks like some new shades.

Tinkoff being manager in the car?

Becasue Kreuziger with 6 minutes wins the Giro and Alberto isn't that keen on that.

Keizer back on his bike after colliding with a young fan who is now being looked at by the race Dr.

Only two explanations I can think of: either Tinkov only wants to win with Contador, or Tinkoff don't trust Kreuziger over 3 weeks so want to keep his potential lead closer to 5 minutes than to 15.

Its a great (scary) twisty descent to the finish in La Spezia, scene of the best grand tour stage finish I've ever seen in 1989 (sadly not live, but on RAI).

Front group splitting and regrouping again, a few riders dropping off the back though so thinning out a bit. 68km to go, peloton at 8min+.

I'm not sure the graphics guy can keep up with what's going on...

(Nice to see my "My Man 2015" squad represented by Hurtado in the break)

Peloton can't be going that fast if Boonen is still towards the front.
