anyone see Linda Villumsen has created an almighty row with her trade team for riding an unbranded bike for the ITT, I know sponsors and especially an American sponsor might be quite sensitive to such things, but can anyone, as in the people the sponsors are actually trying to reach out to, by spending their money, honestly say theyd have noticed otherwise.

though yeah why didnt they just print off some stickers for it0 -
Interesting that thanks. The bike fit is so important in a TT that I can sympathise with what she did - I imagine the top men would get custom frames if they needed them so if the Wilier doesn't suit her it's a difficult one for her.[Castle Donington Ladies FC - going up in '22]0

Great win by Lizzie. Fair play to her.

GB women should have eaten more than a Nutella sandwich for tea before we started last night

Longo Borghini took the Giro dell'Emilia Donne, her final race of the season having been hard at work training on the banks of lake Majeur since returning from the worlds.
The ride on Strava: https://www.strava.com/activities/410304146
She obviously learned something from the worlds, using her climbing strengths to soften up the true sprinters early on the final 2 km 10% finishing climb.
Not an all-star peleton for this event but notably Betty Kals of Mont Ventoux record fame came in 37th. Betty with her trainer earlier this year :-)

So this is a selection of interview snippets where sporza asks famous men in cycling about the recent winners of the Women's world champs and Ronde van Vlaanderen ( I think the clip is from 2011).
You don't need to be able to translate all that much to get the gist.
A few classics: Wilfred Peters: I find women attractive, but not on the bike. (racing)cycling is a man's sport.
Cippolini: I find women on the bike sexy, but not women on race bikes. < he then goes on to describe in what situation he does like women on bikes. > on a nice bike, with a nice dress..etc etc.
I think generally UK audiences, when discussing women's cycling don't quite appreciate that their attitude towards women's sports isn't the same as elsewhere.0 -
