Went up that for the 1st time on Tuesday. So, so tough, but amazingly dramatic at the same time. Almost had me in tears 3/4 of the way up.
You mean you actually saw it? I've been up it 3 times this year and can honestly say I have no idea what it looks like going up, I was too busy staring at the tarmac a metre in front of my wheel! A fantastic climb though, relentlessly steep.0 -

Only for the first half! I deliberately made myself take in the scenery for the first but, to try and keep my mind off how hard it was. Once it made the slight right turn I had stopped that and it was bye bye to the saddle, bottom gear, grind it up. Absolutely brutal.0 -
Houffalize with the German Panther Tank at the bottom of the climb and down the road is the Brewery.
