No worries man, we'll talk about it some other time.
By the way my dads getting a 5s free on upgrade, he pays £22.99 a month.
It's currently £499 from Apple and EE, but I'm willingly going to pay my dad for it because he's my dad and don't want to take advantage of his loyalty offers from his service provider, but will be paying around £250. Brand new, gold, and 12 months Apple warranty.
I've got some probate valuations to do for a solicitor, chat later.0 -

(The torment) will not be lightened for them, and they will be plunged into destruction with deep regrets, sorrows and in despair therein. We wronged them not, but they were the wrongdoers. And they will cry: ‘O Malik! Let your Lord make an end of us’ He will say: ‘Surely, you shall abide forever.’ Indeed We have brought the truth to you, but most of you have a hatred for the truth" (Quran 43:74-78)0 -

Basically you or you're book are saying that if we don't believe in God we are doing wrong?
So if despite being good, law abiding people, who for example raise money for various charities and try to treat other people well, we are going to hell. But if I'm a terrorist who tries to kill as many innocent people as possible in the name of a religion, I get to go to heaven.
Where is the justice in that, basically God is not a just person, he is a megalomaniac who rewards anybody who sucks up to him and punishes those who don't. (That would be if he existed of course but as of yet I'm still waiting for some proof that he does.)0 -

Wow I dont look for a couple of days and it gets interesting (sort of) again after a brief interlude where we seemed to wander into Phones 4 U.
I read some stuff in the last few pages about Islam will conquer Rome "it is written" and similar stuff - I don't understand why anyone would write that - I mean, spoiler alert! Who wants to know God's plan 1400 year (give or take a millenia for some of this stuff to actually occur) in advance? Let it all be a surprise, make life more fun right?
Plus it doesnt say who will do it so you may as well put your feet up and wait as its gonna happen without you needing to do anything.
As for the general theme of conquering a city because its the seat of power of another civilisation/seat of power of another religion doesn't seem in keeping with the whole "Islam is a religion of peace" that we hear in the news all the time.
There was some other stuff about the battle for good and evil and eternal damnation, its not about good and evil though, the passages quoted about damnation are purely about believing in god and not believing which is nothing to do with being good or evil unless by not believing in god (even if you follow the letter of his lifestyle magazine and sip a glass of water every week and eat half a pita bread and sit in a dark room) you are evil?Closet jockey wheel pimp whore.0 -
I don't understand why Muslims, Christians and Jews seem to hate each other. As far as i can tell they all pray to the same god.
It's like the M3, M4 and M1 having a fight over which is the best motorway leading in to London.
Im an Athiest and a country lad so I'm neutral on the religion and London issues.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

Hard facts make great non-fiction,
I think some would, unwillingly agree.
Practicing Muslims, Jews and Christians don't hate each other, media portray negativity. Look for yourself in smaller religious based communities in England, and Middle East, we get along just the way god wants us. Media is mind control, wanting you to accept their side and what they believe is the truth.
Btw, got an iPhone 6 coming next week, didn't really want it but, only paid £40 for it on a really cheap tarriff of £28.78 per month. It's only 16gb so will be giving that to my sister, and taking the 64gb that I gave to my sister for myself. She doesn't need more than 16gb. Plus my dad pays his line rental of £23, and I only pay £5.00 on top each month. It's through his contract I got the deal. But only downside, is it's locked to orange. Will have to find a way around that.
Everyone good?0 -
I agree. The other two allow people from London to get to the South West which is bad. Send them second home buyers oop North on the A1(M).
Dammit now I'm starting to understand this religious hatred. F**king motorways.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

So you're saying Muslims are like Apple and Christians are like Android? Are Jews like Windows Phones? And what about Bhuddists and Hindus and Scientologists and the others? This is making my brain hurt. I need a beer now.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

You say all your communities get on OK but you also post stuff like :Cody wrote:You do know that the Christian religion is a mythraic religion right? i.e there were many father, son and holy ghosts before Christianity in other pagan religions which came before Jesus, Peace Be Upon Him. We are not dumb to see or know what the pope really believes in, he is placed in the Vatican as head of the Church because our prophet predicted in end times, Muslims will conquer Rome, and there's nothing anyone can do to stop this. The illegal Zionist occupation of Jerusalem/Palestine was also prophecised. There is hidden treasure or books of majic of Prophet Solomon hidden under Masjid Al-Aqsa and the Jews want to rebuild the temple there for the second coming of the Moschiah or the Messiah.
Which to me implies a hatred/wish to destroy the Catholic Church and Jewish People?
Also "Hard facts make good non fiction"? Well yes. As opposed to any chosen religious text which is fiction interpreted as hard fact.Closet jockey wheel pimp whore.0 -

I respect other people's rights to their beliefs on the condition that they don't try to force them upon me. I believe in living my life in a way that causes no harm to other people, i will help anyone who needs my help. I enjoy educating young engineers at work to help the do better than i did but most of all i give my family the best life i can possibly offer them.
If i get sent to hell just for not telling god how awesome he is a few times a day then f*ck it.
Also I really need to find my mates Nirvana cd i lost 15 years ago before i worry about finding god.
I hope religion brings you happiness but I have family, rock climbing and downhill mountain biking to keep my life good.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

This is what the media are good at doing, or atheists. Taking something from a book or from someones mouth, re-wording it, and taking it out of context. Then pointing the finger back at the individual, and blaming him for it.
No Paul, that was your interpretation of what I said above0 -
All you've been doing is spouting shoot and interpreting it your own way!
Plus YOU STILL HAVENT ANSWERED THE QUESTIONS!0 -
How do you see "Muslims will conquer Rome" as a peaceful statement? What do you think it means?
Conquer means - overcome and take control of (a place or people) by use of military force.
Maybe you should be more clear in your posts. Perhaps when you quote sections of your magic book you could explain your understanding of them. When you put a statement suggesting military force being used by followers of your book to displace the Pope from the Vatican explain how in actual fact it means they are going to overcome them with kindness and flowers.
No stupid smiley face required.Closet jockey wheel pimp whore.0
