Most interesting multi games RR circuit since Athens. How does this differ from having the Worlds round say Verona or Lisbon (other than the weather of course)? JV tipping his rider on twitter.

Differ. Wel you said it. the WEATHER. Cobbles. Monoblock through a park.... Same as the National's you'd be better having only 15 riders start cos everybody else has climbed off.
Why are you so focused on the weather, the one thing nobody involved had any control over...?

He said what was the difference - and i said the weather
My point is you're complaining about the course because of the weather.

Yes . the weather has made the course dangerous on the sections i said....and having only 15 riders finish the race with still over 50kms to go proves that.

Well I guess you shouldn't give up until you cross the line...but good that G didn't lose it due to a puncture (on his spare wheel anyway).

I really like this course. Maybe too hard for these commie riders and when they rode the british nats. No easy miles, lends itself to attacking rather than wheel sucking.

Yeah...and maybe we should cancel Paris-Roubaix when it rains too.

He was coming back after injury... you just pointed out the difference having the Tour in your legs makes!

Yeah he has had a huge amount of time to recover. Sky allow that though.

That was a good and emotionally involving few days of racing with worthy winners and lots of class riding to admire, certainly won't have harmed the sport in the eyes of the wider public (and, yes I know we've been spoilt recently).

There's a lot of good to be said for the commonwealth games as one of the postive legacies of empire.

Shame for PK but thank you sir for making a race of it. Very little strength in depth in this field. This rain is a joke - been beautiful all day in London.

Such a stupid idea these commonwealth games. Archaic just like the inbred royals.

How long has it been a race of three?

Millar is so rubbish, thank goodness he didnt ride the Tour. He should have retired last year.[/

Well seeing as were 400 miles further north than london. the jetstream sits virtually on top of us your bound to get lots of rain.....But as usual only when LONDON gets lots of rain or the south then you only here of it on the national news.

Millar is 37 he has no tour miles in his legs so he wont have the condition -go compare

Nice to see some positive constructive comments.

Stannard a joke???? We all know who the joke is my friend.

Enjoyed both races. I thought it was a good tough course and we've ended up with one of the strongest riders in each race winning.
