Stupid mountains. Wet descents are too dangerous and have no place in a GT ;)
On a more serious note I really hope AC is OK, the TDF needs it's big names.

Contador is now 4 minutes behind the main field.

    9 minutes down.

    Oh fiddlesticks.

Edit - OK 4 minutes down to the Maillot Jaune.

Apparently he crashed on a bit of uphill somehow, nothing steep from what it looked like. Now he is by the team car with them checking him out. He looks like he is pedalling okay though. Just lost a lot of time.

Now they are saying his frame snapped.

He's gonna need 150 sticky bottles and 250 magic spanners... But at least there are still 90km left for him to gain back some time.

Men in Saxo car starring at Bertie's bottom...

    Bit creepy.

    Rolf Harris look to them.

This is not what I wanted for the Tour. I wanted a victory on the road not a victory of who stays upright. I know cycling is also about not crashing but this is pants.

And again,... more back brake fiddling.

Gone to adverts. He looks like he is not buckling down to cycling at any pace at the moment though.

That rear brake does look dodgy

Snapped frame not exactly good news for the teams bike sponsor
2020 Reilly Spectre - raw titanium
2020 Merida Reacto Disc Ltd - black on black
    2015 CAAD8 105 - very green - stripped to turbo bike
    2018 Planet X Exocet 2 - grey

    The departed:

    2017 Cervelo R3 DI2 - sold
    Boardman CX Team - sold
    Cannondale Synapse - broken
    Cube Streamer - stolen
    Boardman Road Comp - stolen

Damn the bookies are fast. I just nipped over to Paddy Power to lump on Nibali and they've suspended the market.

Frenchie are you OK? Sit down and have a cup of tea, or a gin. It helps.

Well, at least it leaves some space for heroism. He's up and riding.

Gap down to 3 and 3 quarters, but Astana are quietly lifting the pace.
    Yes, poor Frenchie.
The price of investing so much in "his boys", I'm afraid.

For the rest of us, bad for the race.
